PRIDE - Sketches (Patreon)

Hello hello Dear ones.

Sorry I didn't say anything sooner, but I was partly keeping it a secret to bring you as a surprise, and partly very immersed in the process of this art.

I made this one thinking about Pride Month and everything we've been through in the last few months, years... even decades.
(By the way, It's Always Important to Remember Trans Lives Matter, Black Lives Matters and Black Trans Lives Matter).

For some time I was thinking about two icons.
One real and the other mythological.

The real icon is the Black Trans Women and their importance in the history, the Fight and the Movement of LGTBQIA+'s Lives and how much ground they paved for us to walk and celebrate with pride.

The mythological icon, would be the Goddess of wisdom, protection, strategies and victory over the battles that may happen... the Goddess Athena.


It was irresistible to think of this powerful and radiant Black and Trans Woman... reminding us to have courage, to be united, to learn from what we live, to have wisdom, and to have the resilience to overcome even obstacles that others tried to put for us.

This extraordinary woman who looks at us with pride and asks us to remember to be proud of ourselves and to continue living.

I talked to trans people and black people, and I went through a lot of reflections, all done with respect and care.
