Another genuine classic. I love watching this (and a few others like Evil Dead 2 and Little Shop of Horrors) around halloween every year. It's nice to see a film where dewth can be just as light-hearted as living.

Gonna watch this then I’m going to see the new beetlejuice movie tonight so it works out perfect😁

I wanted to see it again before the second instalment came out, and I can't wait to rediscover it with your reaction! For your next poll I recommend Snow White & the Huntsman (2012) or His Dark Materials (2007) by Chris Weitz. 😊 Ps: I hope Nanny McPhee (2005) will follow!

Oh and Catherine O'Hara is HILARIOUS in this movie! "If you don't let me redecorate and express myself, I will go insane, and take all of you with me!" is a line delivery that KILLS me every time xD xD

If he's to watch HDM, which I do think is a great book trilogy, he's better off watching the BBC show and not the 2007 movie that changed way too much of the source material.

The movie has some pretty huge flaws and separates itself from some crucial elements of the novel, I agree. But I still have an unfounded fondness for it, which I really enjoyed as a kid. But yes, the BBC tv show is more faithful and mature, whereas the film is more childish (hence the removal of certain narrative elements).

Fun fact: Beetlejuice was only in the first film for about 17 minutes! Thanks so much for this reaction JV! This is one of my favorite Halloween films and I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I just watched the second film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice last night and personally, I found it just as enjoyable as the first film. We learn about bit about Beetlejuice's backstory but not too much. Some of it is hinted at in the first film. There's more CGI in the new film, but still a super fun watch! I can't wait until you react to it!

Apparently, the “Nice f***ing model” line was ad-libbed, as the tree wasn’t supposed to fall over.
