Gotta say, you seemed way more distracted in this reaction than usual. Just an observation

Hannah Michelle

Mario Lopez

Unfortunately most women are aware of women's rights or lack there of more than men because we are confronted by it more. This would have happened a long time ago but there are many instances even in 2021 where women are denied basic human rights in many countries and may be punished by death even to this day. Many royal families have only recently changed the male heir rule and many countries still follow the traditional male heir first. And, roughly, only 100 years ago when women were protesting for the right to vote and only really made headway due to the war and the need for women to enter the workforce. Even then the rights given had limitations.

Mulan- Thank you so very much for your reaction to this beautiful movie. I love Mulan. It's not one of my favorite classic Disney movies, but it is absolutely beautiful. Both in story and for its hand-drawn animation. There is something truly special about the classic hand-drawn animation Disney movies, and I love them all so very much. I hate hearing people put them down or say that these classics have bad messages, when they say things such as how the women are always imprisoned, or that they are always being rescued by big, strong men. There is so much more to these movies and their characters. All of the classics from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from 1937, to The Princess and the Frog from 2009, come with their own powerful and beautiful messages we can all learn from, just like the newer Disney/Pixar and computer generated movies do too. And I absolutely love them all for various reasons. I truly hope you will continue to watch all of these beautiful classics, Justin. Please, please, please!!! I think you will absolutely love them all! Thank you! And thank you again for your reaction for Mulan! Sincerely, Heidi

I mean, I love this movie, but a lot of my Chinese friends dislike it because the issue of sexism places into this movie when in the original legend, Mulan doesn’t hide her identity and there’s no big thing of men outright saying she will never amount to anything because she’s a woman. I hate the idea that young girls need to be “inspired” and need role models from fiction. It’s not a realistic outlook on history or how things are today. Women aren’t men. The expectations were different for a reason. PTSD and war horror stories aren’t a privilege. It was something men were forced to deal with. Somehow these movies make it seem like women had the shorter end of the stick by having their lives prioritized. Boys being prized as soldiers is like the sacrificial lamb. Their value is in protecting women. It’s very interesting how this is misconstrued today.

Hey man, great reactions! You should do Brother Bear, there’s a 1 n 2. It did decent in box office 5x there money. Overall it’s a emotional roller coaster and a life lesson thought you’d like it. Anyways have a great day!

the format for names in China is Last Name First name, so Li Shang’s first name is Shang and last name is Li! I recommend Frozen (and Frozen 2) if you want another musical next and Onward if not!

Romang

hear me out for a sec, i strongly recommend cinderella. alongside mulan, it's one of my favorite classic disney princess movies. it's your quintessential fairytale, but i think it gets unfairly misconstrued and brushed off as "princess's only goal is to marry a prince," gets saved by said prince in the end type of stories. in reality, cinderella just wanted one perfect night for herself and to have a good time after dealing with her stepfamily and their abuse. she gets brushed off as one of the "weak" disney princesses, but honestly she's a very strong character who manages to still be kind and hopeful despite everything she's been through. since they're my two fav disney princess movies i like to think about how they compare and contrast a lot. mulan shows that you don't have to conform to "normal" expectations to prove your self worth, and on the flipside i think cinderella does a good job of showing that femininity =/= weakness. i think these are both very good lessons to have

Another great reaction again 🙌🏿 some people might have their own opinions but I definitely think you should watch the sequel Mulan 2. I personally think you would like it even if some think it doesn’t live up to the first movie.

Olivia

Princess suggestions: Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Brave, Anastasia (this one isn't Disney, but it's on Disney+).

Kay Scruton

I know I've said this multiple times already, but please please please react to Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron by Dreamworks!!!

Edie

you should definitely watch frozen and frozen 2!! theyre so good, with so many good messages :)

Spree

I dont know if you've seen it but Hercules (1997) is a great one as well, also with some awesome music!

Lacey Wells

Oliver & Company, An American Tale: Fievel Goes West, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Babe 1 & 2, Home, Boss Baby, Night at The Museum trilogy, and I don't know if you'd want to dive into a couple tv show series, but BBC's Sherlock is amazing. It's 9 episodes (3 episodes per season) + one holiday special, but they are basically movie-length episodes. It's a modern take on Sherlock Holmes.

Mulan is considered "Golden Age", as is everything from The Little Mermaid through the nineties. I believe everything prior is technically "classic", but I guess once things are 15+ years old, it's easy to blur the lines and to call anything not CGI as "classic." Everything during the Golden Age was groundbreaking in the industry for one reason or another - there were a lot of technical advancements during that time, and the soundtracks were incredible. I was lucky - my father from L.A. worked as tech support for computer sales at the time and was always on top of the latest visual advancements being made, and my high school band conductor was obsessed with Disney and Star Wars music - I was steeped in this stuff lol. (Our conductor had even secured a spot for the marching band to perform in the Orange Bowl parade in Florida every 3 years so if you played an instrument, you were pretty much guaranteed a trip to the Magic Kingdom.) My next votes, in no particular order, would have to be: Aladdin (can't go wrong with Robin Williams) FernGully the Last Rainforest (more Robin Williams + fairies!) Hercules Emperor's New Groove

Cat

Hi!! It’s saying the download limit has been reached and it won’t play? Loving your reactions though!!! Also, I absolutely agree with the comment above, Fern Gully is amazing!

Konata

My fav Disney movie is cars and YOU WONT CRY and no one has a daughter haha!

Lumaking7
