Commissions opening SOON! (Patreon)

Hey folks!

Its that time again. I'm gonna be opening for another commission batch! However, there will be a price increase over the last time I opened up. I'll have more details about that below!

I'll be opening for 5 commission slots (and 3 patron-exclusive slots) on November 4th, around 4PM EST. Copypasta:

- The journal will be posted with the link to the commission form. It will stay open for a little over 24 hours.

- All 8 forms will be selected by me.

- I'll email those who got the slots to discuss ideas, prices, and other details, and then I'll send invoices and work on thumbnail sketches for commissioners' approval .

- The queue will be ordered by who gets that whole process done first, and I'll work down the queue in order.

Price Changes

Okay! So, as I stated previously, there will be a price update since the last time I opened for commissions. The prices have already been updated in my ToS linked above. Here's a quick look at it:

Linework $80 -> $100

Flats $140 -> $160

Shaded $180 -> $220

Speedpainting $220 -> $320

Painting $320 -> $420

In addition, there will be one other major change: the base price no longer includes 2 characters, only 1.

I've been assessing my financial situation and overall workflow, and trying to figure out where things are coming up short. There's been a handful of minor developments and things in my life that affect work and finances, and so I need to increase my prices in order to reflect that. The cost of living unfortunately increases. After going over my notes on how long individual pieces have taken (and therefore calculating how much I make an hour for each commission), I've finally relented and removed the included extra character in the base cost. I initially had it priced that way to encourage more interesting commission ideas with multiple characters, but it has become very blatant when looking back at the numbers that its not really something I can maintain at this level.

Since the prices were a major factor in how Patreon tiers were priced, will they be changing as well?

The answer is no, not yet. I have plans on dialing back Patreon and readjusting how it fits into my monthly finances alongside commissions and, hopefully, merchandise. But as of right now, I don't have anything set in stone regarding any changes to my Patreon and the token tiers. It will still be some time before I can get merch and other similar projects underway, unfortunately.

Patron Token Use

Just another reminder that you can use tokens to lower the price of a commission slot, if you do get one. Each one is worth $25, and you can gift them to folks as desired (just make sure to message me if you're gifting them to someone!).
