#sundayrundown ai's killer committed suicide that same day. aqua just assumes the dad told him where ai was, because only someone who knew her personally would know about her random hospital in a secluded town or her (newly changed) home address. also, i didn't interpret that scene of ai coming back to life as a cathartic moment or a rejection of what his guilt was telling him. he just changed the stimulus, because he needed to portray a different emotion. akane's character was revived, he couldn't just keep acting feral. he even says it's something he's imagined countless times. he's still suffering in that moment
