Ah, it's finally time for the famous Jaden Pinket Smith to show us what he's got. Honestly, I didn't hate this movie when it first came out, but I haven't seen it since.

#Sundayrundown Even as someone who grew up w/ the original, this is my favorite. A lot of the hate comes with this being a "Karate Kid" movie when in actuality, this should be its own thing. The title for this movie in China was called "Kungfu Dream" and you can hear it in the dialogue. If you know Kung Fu, this movie has a whole lot going for it compared to Karate in the originals to dig into, which was why it was popular in China at the time. FUN FACT: the main kid bully, Wang Zhenwei 王振威, joined Jackie Chan stunt team when he grew up.

Karate Kid (2010) is very underrated and got a lot of hate cause of Jaden, which is sad cause u can see in the movie Jaden put in alot of work to make the movie good. Jackie was also great along with the direction. It's called The Karate Kid and not Kung Fu Kid, to make use of the name and market it as a remake, which it is but in the original movie, "The Karate Kid" was a term Freddie and his friends used to make fun of Daniel cause when Freddie 1st met Daniel, Daniel boasted a little on how he knew karate but then got beat up on the beach which Freddie and his friends left Daniel and the next day at soccer practice they jokingly called him "The Karate Kid". SO the title had a double meaning. Glad you guys are now caught up in the world of the Karate Kid and let's all hope a trailer is shown to the new movie.
