#SundayRundown BLEACH TYBW Quilge (pronounced “kill gay” not even joking) Opie as SternRitter (Star Knight) “J” (The meaning of which will be revealed later) is directly based off of Heinrich Himler: A leading member of the Nazi Party of Germany. Himmler was one of the most powerful men in Nazi Germany and a main architect of the Holocaust, he was literally the representative Nazi soldier appointed by Hitler himself. As you can tell, he’s a Quincy representative and will showcase what they are fully and basically capable of like Uryu on variety steroids in these next couple of episodes. Also gotta say, Hueco Mundo can’t seem to catch a break, first Barragan as the hollow equivalent of death ruled over it and got screwed over by Aizen and since then Harribel took over as the Hollow/Arrancar queen and now got screwed over by the Quincy king, like goddamn man. Imperatively important sidenote to the Normies: When these episodes publicly hit YouTube please add in parentheses the overall series number next to the TYBW number, so for Ex: the last episode 1 should be “Bleach TYBW episode 1 (367)” while this one would be “Bleach TYBW Episode 2 (368)” and so on so forth as since this is the final main story arc and direct continuation for OG Bleach.

#Sunday Rundown Bleach There's a novel that focuses on the aftermath of the Arrancar arc. Orihime actually healed Harribel. The Tres Bestias weren't dead, remember how Yamamoto spared their life for showing the courage to face him head on? Orihime healed them too as the kind hearted person that she is. Correction: Starrk was killed by Shunsui not Aizen. Also remember Aizen only wanted to kill off Yamamoto. The rest of the people didn't really matter to him.

Bleach Expert

Bleach #SundayRundown Yamamoto stated because he admired the Tres Bestia’s bravery to fight for their leader Harribel, he would not kill them but leave them scorched with burns. That is how they survived.

Bleach TYBW keyword page 1 Episode 2: FOUNDATION STONES Arrancar (Fractured/Ripped Mask Hollow) “These are Hollows that have removed their masks and obtained Soul Reaper powers. Aizen’s use of the Hōgyoku resulted in a drastic increase of the number of Arrancars, and they were able to achieve a humanoid appearance. The stronger they were as Hollows, the greater their combat abilities will be. Stronger Arrancars will also have a closer resemblance to humans. They don a broken mask and a white shihakushō while carrying a zanpakutō. The Arrancar’s zanpakutō seals the “core” of their Arrancar powers in the form of a sword. When they perform a Resurrección, which is the equivalent of a Soul Reaper's Bankai, they will release their true powers and form. Furthermore, they possess a tough outer skin with high spiritual hardness known as Hierro, and they can carry out high-speed movements known as Sonído, which is equivalent to a Soul Reaper’s Shunpō and the Quincy’s Hirenkyaku. They can fire Cero(s). Most of the time, they will lose the ability to perform high-speed regeneration they possessed as Hollows.” Keyword page 2: Hueco Mundo (Hollow World) “This space, which exists between Soul Society and the world of the living, is home to the Hollows. One can only enter the space through a Garganta. It is always night, and the moon shines in reverse to that of the real world. The ground is covered in what looks like white sand, and withered trees formed with quartz-like minerals lie scattered across the landscape. Water does not exist here. There is a higher concentration of spirit particles (Reishi) in the atmosphere compared to Soul Society and the world of the living. Here, the average Hollow can obtain the necessary nutrients for survival just by breathing. Likewise, Soul Reapers and Quincies will experience a big and primal boost to their combat abilities here. Aizen Sōsuke and his subordinates used to occupy Las Noches here in Hueco Mundo but after Aizen left and Barragan & Starrk died, Tier Harribel effectively ruled over it.” Every episode from here on out, with the exception of Ep 26, will have 2 keyword pages.

#SundayRundown Finally TYBW.... Quincies are group of ruthless sodliers and they kill mercilessly. That makes them fearsome. Episode 2 was meant to show the scales of power between the old and new Bleach. Also the episode 2 had new opening and ending for cour/season 1. Quincy army has elite soldiers(Sternritters) with immense powers, each with an alphabet. The one you saw was Stern ritter J(The Jail) name is Quilge Opie. Each sternritter has an alphabet attached to him or her

Smash Bran'Discootch

What the hell, guys? You're posting TYBW NINE hours early?! Guys if you're gonna be posting things early, I'd appreciate some kind of communication, ugh! (I really hope it's obvious that I'm joking 😅)

Mugen Shiratori

When Yamamoto defeated the Tres Bestias, he said he would let them off with "light" burns for their admirable courage shown by attacking him one-armed and all at once. We have seen nothing from Sasakibe at all till now. The only time we saw him do something was when Ichigo showed up at the Sogyoku and Sasakibe along with Omaeda and Isane attacked him and got one shot by him mid-Shikai release. He was also responsible for guarding the perimeter of Fake Karakura town BY HIMSELF but failed to stop the Visords from entering anyway. Pay attention to the LETTERS like Quilge's "J", they are VERY important.

#Sunday Rundown - Bleach In the manga, there is a eulogy given by Byakuya dedicated to Yamamoto’s Lieutenant at his funeral which tells us more about his character which was cut in the anime: “Chojiro Tadaoki Sasakibe was a Soul Reaper who should’ve been a Captain. According to the records, he achieved Bankai before Kyoraku and Ukitake were even born. However, not once did he display that ability since the 13 Court Guard Squads was founded. Captains are not always men of integrity. Despite hearing of his abilities, some would insult him as a Lieutenant who doesn’t take part in battle and treated him like just another seated officer. However, even faced with that kind of treatment Chojiro Sasakibe never cursed his position as lieutenant. And whenever captains were replaced, no matter how many times there was a vacancy, he adamantly refused not just the position of interim captain but even the position of being entrusted with the authority of a captain which Hisagi and Kira held until recently, all because of his fierce loyalty. Chojiro Sasakibe was a man who swore to remain lieutenant for life as long as Genryusai Yamamoto was alive. This man used Bankai for the first time in battle, and died. The Head Captain’s grief is beyond the imagination of us neophytes.” They then proceed to light the fire and cremate him.

iman

It's fine, they've already watched up to episode 6 as of now

Conflictor

The anime handled this better since it was with silence and Byakuya knowing him like that when he’s not part of the first generation of captains doesn’t really make sense.

Tristan Harley

Hmm, Suraj, It might be worth keeping this tidbit to yourself as it may be explored more in the anime. Trust that anything cut from the manga is done so with purpose and reutilised in new ways in the anime. It would be best to keep this away from the other Normies so it allows for fresher reactions to what's coming.

Tristan Harley

If they do 2 a week, they'll finish long before Cour 4 is out. This way, they'll pretty much be walking right into Cour 4 with us.

Kail Andrews

#Sunday Rundown Bleach To clarify, Orihime healed a bunch of the arrancars after the battle, that's the reason they survive. Quilge and the Quincys are so nazi coded is insane, also his design is very reminiscent of Heinrich Himmler. And as you could see, he had a letter in his tittle so you should keep an eye on those andmybe take notes about that. Also get ready for the craziest streak of episodes that's about to come. Finally I would recommend for you guys to not get to ahead of us, because there would be some episodes that'll require heavy explanation on our part and if you carry those doubts or misconceptions to later episodes it could diminished your enjoyment or appreciation of the episodes.

Unstablebeast

Haribel was wounded by aizen but not killed, and her tes bestia were wounded by yamamoto who by his own words was letting them off easy with just some burns. starrk was killed by shunsui and barrigan was killed by aizen

KindaWeirdChampBro

Yes, I can tell you. If they do two episodes a week they'll only manage to keep the people suscribed for Bleach here for half the time, so they are doing one.

Adan Guzman

#Sunday Rundown: Bleach I don’t blame you guys for the confusion of Harribel’s status of being alive after seeing what happened to her last time so let me explain. According to the databook, UNMASKED, after the battle with Aizen, Orihime had healed the Tres Bestias who were burnt by Yamamoto, (he spared them as a respect for challenging him with a single arm after he killed their creation so he let them off with “just burns,” as he said.) She then healed Harribel who was close to death. After being betrayed by Aizen, Harribel and her group had no more beef with the Soul Reapers and went back to Hueco Mundo. Since Aizen was gone and Barragan was dead, she took it upon herself to become the new ruler of Hueco Mundo. There’s also a part in opening 12-CHANGE where you can see Harribel lying on the ground facing the sky. Some people like to think that’s what she looked like after being cut down from Aizen but don’t take my word for it.

Kungor

Barragan was killed by himself when Hachi teleported his decaying arm inside of his body

Adan Guzman

@Tristan Harley I disagree, since there’s part of that eulogy that don’t get referenced at all in the anime like how other captains looked down on him for doing nothing. That’s kinda Kubo’s way of referencing how many fans felt about Sasakibe in general. There’s nothing wrong with added lore for the Normies who wanted to know more about him. As a manga reader, the moments you’re referring to will hit just the same.

iman

Bleach #SundayRundown It's good that you're beginning to see the spectacle of this adaptation in all of its glory. In fact, right out of the gates, they portray these events in a superior fashion than the manga. Both episode 1 and 2 give us a split perspective at the end, last episode we saw Ichigo activating his bankai parallel with Sasakibe telling us they can seal it, leading to real tension. In this episode we see Mayuri report that this rebel army are in fact quincies, just as Ichigo is going to confront Quilge in dramatic fashion. That is not how it was paced in the manga, Sasakibe informed Yamamoto after Ichigo fought off Eberns attempt, and Mayuri ends that speech in the middle of a chapter, with Ichigo facing Quilge at the end. This direction, paired with that beautiful animation and a gorgeously updated soundtrack by Shiro Sagisu is a masterclass. It makes me content with the single drop each week, although I'd prefer it if the discussions were a little longer to compensate. That being said, please consider double dropping episode 11 and 12 of this season, it is really the only one where it is needed. As Chris said, Quincies are based on nazi's, I mean Quilge makes it incredibly obvious. They are also committing genocide against the hollows and arrancars in the traditional sense, as well as the occupation of hueco mundo, imprisoning their leader and then there's the cultural genocide. In which they are enlisting some arrancars as soldiers in their army, who have renounced their previous affiliation. Look at the way Ebern reacted to Ichigo simply calling him an arrancar, it's like he had heard a slur, which makes sense given that Ichigo was essentially dead naming him.

Ichigoat

Have they watched ep 6 already? I figure they'd say something in discord if they have

Crazy how Bleach fans can just leave and come back as they please. Pretty sure that has nothing to do with their reasoning (Not that they owe you any to begin with).

# Sunday rundown # Bleach. Now that you've seen a bit of the Quincy King himself here is a small fact to start as much more is still left to be revealed about him. Ywach is his name as written, this is a direct reference to the early Christian and Jewish god YHWH pronounced "Yahweh' however because of translation differences you may see people refer to him as Juha Bach, this is simply because In Japanese they don't pronounce Ywach like it's English, it's instead "Yuha Bahha" which many notice in the Japanese sub, leading to general confusion on what his name actually is. I believe most people call him by his Japanese pronunciation, however it may be different in the dub.

Blake Richey

Did you say Aizen made a mistake? He failed to kill Harribel? No, no, no. It is all a part of his plan! 😂

Denickart

The only thing we've seen of Sasakibe was when he, Omaeda, and Isane all got oneshotted by Ichigo in the Soul Society arc

Kuro

#SundayRundown #Bleach Yhwach's name is pronounced Yuha Baha, originally Kubo wanted to call him and pronouce his name as Yahweh as explained by Jackie in the comment i am replying to. However, from a now deleted post on Klub Outside, Kubo explained that his editor and editorial department didnt like the name Yahweh and was worried that it might incite cultural insensitivity and other issues with the religious community outside of Japan.

Charlie

Surj could be a politician. I watched the previous SundayRundown, and he almost convinced me that I didn't want double drops 😂

#Bleach #SundayRundown A little context about Chōjirō Sasakibe (the 1st division lieutenant who was killed). In the manga, Byakuya gives a ton of context about him on the funeral where he talks about how much of a badass Chōjirō really was. The anime sadly omits this portion and all we get is Yamamoto saying: "Light the fires". Here is what he said: "Chōjirō Tadaoki Sasakibe was a Soul Reaper who should have been a Captain. He achieved Bankai before Kyōraku or Ukitake were even born. However, not once did he display it in public since the Gotei 13 was formed. Captains aren't always men of integrity. Despite hearing of his abilites some insulted him because he didn't take part in battle, they treated him like an ordinary seated officer. Despite this treatment, he never cursed his position as a Lieutenant. No matter how many times he was asked to be a Captain, he always refused, not even wanting to fill in for a Captain (like Shuuhei and Kira were doing until recently). He swore to remain a lieutenant until the day Yamamoto would die, due to his fierce loyalty. Today, this man used Bankai for the first time in battle and died. The Head Captain's grief is beyond the imagination of us all." After that there is a very cool panel of Yamamoto looking sombre: https://imgur.com/a/Y50Ln0f

So we switch to 1 episode a week in bleach, just for this mid reaction and discussion.

Daniel Holko

"Trust me guys, you actually want less episodes. This is better for everyone, obviously."

Deusex1000

In the manga, when Yhwach kills Ebern, the latter is decapitated and his death is only depicted as blood splashing from offscreen; here, he is instead shown getting his head destroyed.

penguin299

#Bleach #SundayRundown So glad that TYBW is finally here!!! You all may be wondering why Bleach is suddenly popping off and just got a million times more violent. Suddenly, people are getting decapitated left and right, Sasakibe is dead and every red-shirt in sight is getting fucked up. Believe it or not, this is how Bleach always was in the manga. Because of its timeslot in Japan, Bleach faced some heavy HEAVY censoring but now that it’s on streaming platforms, TYBW can do justice to the source material. Y’all missed some craziness with the og (Jidanbo, Uryu, and Chad all losing limbs, Rangiku getting her stomach gouged out, Hiyori getting cut in half, etc.), but now you’re getting the raw, unfiltered Bleach. This is your new normal, so prepare yourselves mentally and enjoy the pure, unadulterated insanity and carnage you are about to witness.

GrimmxLaw22

#Bleach #SundayRundown Sasakibe's death signals the fact that literally nobody in this arc has plot armor - and I do mean NOBODY has it, so get mentally prepared for the future. Also, expect the animation to keep getting better and better. Not a single episode has "okay" animation and the writing for every episode is peak 10/10.

#Bleach #SundayRundown There's going to be a lot of interesting imagery in TYBW. I encourage you guys to go back and take a close look at these during the discussion!

Nabeshin

It's implied that he was dying because of Hachi's final move, and just so happened to expire right as he was about to hit Aizen. Not that it would've worked of course, but Aizen didn't finish him off. In fact, he barely even noticed his passing.

Nabeshin

#SundayRundown #BLEACH I think y'all could use a refresher as to what happened to the Espada. So here you go! #0 - YAMMY: Beaten up by everyone, but annoyingly came back every time. Eventually off-screened by Byakuya and Kenpachi. #9 - AARONIERO: Solo'd by Rukia. #8 - SZAYELAPORRO: Arguably worst fight in the series, against Renji, Ishida, Pesche and Dondochakka. Eventually killed by Kurotsuchi (with a little help from Nemu). #7 - ZOMMALI: Solo'd by Byakuya. #6 - GRIMMJOW: Fought Ulquiorra briefly, then fought and was defeated by Ichigo, then was ALMOST killed by Nnoitra, but Ichigo saved him. Whereabouts unknown. #5 - NNOITRA: Kenpachi used 2 hands. #4 - ULQUIORRA: Fought and was imprisoned by Grimmjow, then fought and eventually killed Ichigo, then fought Ishida briefly while Orihime got Ichigo to resurrect as a hollow, then was defeated by Hollow Ichigo, then "In the palm of my hand...is a heart." 😢 #3 - HALLIBEL: Fought and was defeated by Hitsugaya, got revived by Wonderweisss, fought Hitsugaya again (along with the Vizard girlies), then was dispatched by Aizen; the implication being he slashed her because he was done with her, but didn't care one way or another whether she lived or died. #2 - BARRAGAN: Played around with Soi Fon and Omaeda, then fought seriously against them and Hachi, finally getting defeated by Hachi, and dying RIGHT as he was attempting his revenge on Aizen. #1 - STARKK: Technically fought both Kyouraku and Ukitake (but mainly Kyouraku), made scrubs out of Love and Rose, and was finally killed by Kyouraku. Also recall that the Privaron Espada - Dordoni Alessandro Del Socaccio, Cirucci Sanderwicci, and Gantenbainne Mosqueda - were defeated by Ichigo, Ishida, and Chad respectively, but only Gantenbainne survived, as before he and Chad could be killed by Rudebone, Rudebone was intimidated into leaving by Unohana. Gantenbainne's whereabouts are unknown, meanwhile Dordoni and Cirucci were implied to have been finished off by Rudebone and the Exequias, under the orders of Szayelaporro; which Aizen was displeased by, but let slide; confirming with Szayelaporro that it was good for his research. Almost every Fracción (Espada underling) was killed by a shinigami lieutenant, with the exception of those you saw in this episode: Menoly (smacked away by Yammy but survived), Loly (beaten and dropped off a building by Yammy but saved by Ishida post-credits), Pesche & Dondochakka (didn't see them after the Szayelaporro fight), and the Tres Bestias; whom Yamamoto let go "with just burns" out of respect for them charging him while having 1 arm each. Keep that little detail in mind. 😉

Taj

those 3 weeks are significant if they wanna capitalize on the hype and bring in more views

Anthony Montero

#SundayRundown #Bleach Craziest thing about the Squad 1 Lieutenant is that the after credits that you guys skipped from OG Bleach often make fun of him for being a character that is forgotten about and never used for the story.

Shockzz1234

#SundayRundown Bleach/YYH/FMA/General comments? (i'm not sure lmao) - I'm dead, at the time of me making this comment, there are NO YYH or FMA comments on here. Literally zero. I feel a little bad. Not sure if it's too much work or not, or if it'll work as intended or not, but maybe we could separate them, as in make YYH and FMA it's own post and then Bleach TYBW it's own post? That way, Bleach doesn't absolutely overshadow the other two and doesn't maybe drive away some convo for the other two? And has it's own comment section to itself? Just a suggestion :)

Gremmy Thoumeaux

I definitely support this idea. I know Bleach is really popular but the other series need love too and I can imagine it’ll only get longer from here on out for Bleach

Stain Zel

do appreciate you guys are the only ones watching tybw dub.Love bleach dub

Kayso

We only really seen Sasakibe do something in soul society arc. It was when Ichigo basically one shotted him, Omaeda and Isane. Happened after he saved Rukia. Feels good watching the dub with you guys, Yhwach voice fits him so well as well was Quilge's voice (pronounced Killgay). And not Suraj speaking Dondechakka and Pesche into existence 😂😭

Denickart

Wouldn't really say Stark made scrubs out of Love and Rose since they forced him to use his last resort with only their shikais.

Denickart

YouTube will be behind either way and unlike the typical popular seasonal show, big 3 anime hype doesn't have an expiration date.

Aadit Doshi

#sundayRundown YYH Kurama is probably my favourite character from the quad, but no spoilers. Fun Kurama facts: in the manga his hair was black and outfit was blue, but to distinguish him from Hiei and Yusuke, the anime went with red hair and pink outfit instead. Kurama( like Kurapika) usually dresses androgynously, so people were sometimes confused if he was male or female (he is male). Famously, in the Filipino dub, he was named Denise by accident, where they changed it to Dennis after realizing he was a boy.

Xonok

#8 - SZAYELAPORRO: I wouldn't called that the worst fight in the series, it had terrible pacing and too much filler which made it a drag to watch. In the manga the pacing was better, but SZAYELAPORRO troll Renji and Uryu way too many times in that fight. #3 HALLIBEL: She was never defeated by Hitsugaya, Halibel was imprisoned for a few chapters by the ice. Wonderweiss came in and shatter the ice with a scream, and Hallibel had zero damage from it. Aizen later defeated Harribel in two slashes because he was done with the espada, after he saw Stark die to Kyoraku's hands.

Xonok

Bleach #SundayRundown: The only time we ever saw Chojirou Sasakibe fight it was 3 vs 1 against Ichigo. I believe Kubo didn't plan to make Sasakibe so important until he started drawing the TYBW arc. I'll post the youtube link of Ichigo one shotting all 3 lieutanents, it last about 1 min and Sasakibe is not seen again until the end of the arc. Also, Sasakibe, Isane, and Omaeda were all trying to stab Renji in the back, while Renji was carrying Rukia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWU-KYCK6ks

TrixieTurner

#SundayRundown Bleach Okay this episode is starting to set up the bad guys but it’s hard to take them seriously when all we see them take out are the scrubs we already saw get beat, all that’s missing is we gotta see renji and chad get slumped and the jobber run is complete. It’s cool to see harribel and her three girls survived even if it was just to get whooped by the Germans, she’s one of the few people who can challenge orihime. I really wasn’t expecting the two girls who bullied orihime to make it either but it’s good to see old characters can still pop up.

TrixieTurner

#SundayRundown Yu Yu Hakusho, damn I forget how gangster the show was early on, yusuke really said swallow it before shooting gouki in the back of the throat. Executed him with extreme prejudice. Also the mirror is sentient and just kills people cause it’s a dick? It was fully able to grant the wish without any cost so it was just gonna kill him cause he wanted to. Also does that mean the mirror is just alive chilling does it get bored is that why it’s a dick? But yeah kurama is basically fox Jesus, just like Naruto, so you know he’s got main character energy. How’s it gotta feel being in a line up and realizing you’re the only one not drawn like a main character.

Paradoxhamartia

I'm probably super later for this, but might as well give it a shot. #SundayRundown #FullMetalAlchemist Brotherhood About Kimblee remembering both Scar and his brother... it all goes back to the very important lesson he taught to Roy, Riza and Hughes (along with every other soldier present) during the Ishvalan War of Extermination. "The one thing worse than death is to avert your eyes from it. Look straight at the people you kill. Don't take your eyes off them for even a second. And don't ever forget them, because I promise that they won't forget you." At a first glance, it might seem like Kimblee completely disregards the worth of human life, but it's actually quite the contrary. He's perhaps the most conscious about how valuable a human soul is (so much that bringing back people from the dead is straight up impossible, no matter how talented of an alchemist you are). He's with no doubt a mass murderer, bu he does not kill lightly. He sincerely respects evey person he's ever killed. It just so happens that his favorite activity if murder. Go figure! His moral code might be twisted by nature, but he will never disregard it, not even when it would be advantageous to do so. And that's one of the reasons why he's my absolute fave FMA character! #SundayRundown #YuYuHakusho Fun fact about Kurama's color design! In the original manga, he was never that colorful. He straight up had dark hair, and wore a plain dark uniform. This change (for the best, imo) came to be simply because of the technical limitations animators had to work with, back in the day. They only had around 100 usable colors, so having multiple characters with similar palettes was a massive headache. Mostly cause they would've been forced to reuse almost the exact same colors. And YuYu Hakusho's main gang already had more than one black haired character, so Kurama's original design would've been very redundant. As a solution, the animation team decided to use the very colorful cover for volume 4 of the manga as the official reference for the anime color scheme (except for Kuwabara, who was portrayed in an atrocious shade of yellow).

Anderson Lake(The Bleach)

Wel, they didn't omit it per se. They replaced it with show instead of just tell. Most of what you said is addressed in the anime. Just through showing instead of just telling.
