Uncut (posted last week, but here for convenience): https://thenormies.com/dc-animated-movie-universe-pa/

NOTE: Due to feedback we got from The Sunday Rundown and other comments, the posting schedule of the DCAMU movies will be slightly changed, so there's at least one video a week. Last week, the Justice League: Throne of Atlantis Uncut was posted and this week, the edited version is posted. It will continue in this same pattern for the rest of the movies as of right now due to our reacting/editing load. Thank you for your support and feedback!! :)

I always listen to the discussions. This is not only one of my favorite Sci-Fi shows of all time, but favorite shows period. I've re-watched it many times, and am excited to hear your takes and theories every episode. Things that you more or less get right and things that you could never guess. Also, I think you guys are counting 12 Human Cylons instead of what was actually said in The Mini Series Part 2. "There are 12 Cylon 'MODELS'". We only know of 4 so far. Tricia Helfer, Boomer/Sharon, Doral, and Leoben. There are many copies of each, as we see at the end of that episode.

SOOOO excited for the second half of Angel season 5. Not quite there yet, but it's some of the best television ever made

This was around the time in Angel where the writers just stopped being afraid to really lean into the silliness. A famous example of this is the time someone in the writer's room said, "This week let's just make it a Bad Horse." That idea didn't make it into Angel, but Bad Horse ended up being a villain in Whedon's short film, Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.

Bear McCreary's done a lot of great stuff, but I think Battlestar was his first really successful work that got him his big break.

Really hope if they have already watched angel season 5 episode 10 that whoever helps tells or told them not to look at the guest stars. Hate for that to get spoiled

#SundayRundown (DCAMU); for context the original 7 Justice League members in the comics were Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash (Barry), Green Lantern (Hal), Aquaman & Martian Manhunter. Cyborg was mostly added because he was popular and the group needed diversity. Same reason Hawkgirl & Jon Stewart were added. I’m sure you guys are tired of the Creature Commandos stuff lol, but since the season just wrapped up & is still fresh. I think it would be a better idea if you guys binged the 7 episodes and released them in a similar manner as you did X Men 97. I think putting those episodes (one or 2 a week) in the absent week instead of the uncuts would work better. Don’t wanna speak for everyone so maybe a poll? 🤷🏾‍♂️

Not sure if you guys have noticed this yet, but the actor who plays Gaius Baltar voices Alucard in the Netflix Castlevania shows! New season coming back pretty soon too!

I am OVERJOYED at the love for the cautionary tale. Everyone always s**ts on it and I'm always SO mad its SUCH a good episode and important for Angel's character

Joe Traupman

man, the rest of this season of angel is absolutely fire i can't wait to watch it with you guys!!

It's been a good while since I've seen BSG and it's still phenomenal. Probably my favorite part here was No 6 trying to seduce Adama and he immediately says "do not let her leave" XD. Something I always thought was interesting surrounding that is if we can view seduction as No 6's primary trick or understanding of how to approach humans, or is it more indicadive of what Cylons think as a whole. Pretty sure next to no one in the audience thought that would work so I wonder if that was a mistake because that's just how she does it, or maybe that was the plan to make it more believeable that Gay-ass was being set up.

#SundayRundown Battlestar Galactica Re: BSG. I'm late to the party, but I thought I'd drop some non-spoiler information you should know! It's a collection of notes I've added to as I've caught up. Some of the this you may have already realised, but some reacters get tripped up, so I'll clarify. - 12 models, as in 12 varieties, but many copies. So the blonde is number 6 of 12, and Boomer is another number between 1 and 12 , but there can be hundreds of blonde sixes, or hundreds of boomers. With Leoben and Dorel, at this point you know 4 of the 12 models. - The 12 colonies are 12 different planets, see this (canon??) map of their system, which also includes backgrounds on the colonies: https://atlasoficeandfireblog.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/twelve-colonies.jpg - War College is a real thing IRL. Higher level military education for senior/veteran officers. - There are lots of reporters because there was a press pool for Galactica's retirement on the day of the attack. - The intro in each episode updates the survivor count. - Ignore the glowing spines. It was a bad choice that the writers wisely immediately abandoned and will never be relevant. (Mickey should probably be the one to do the research/legwork regarding the next three points, as googling them may give you spoilers?) - There are extended versions of several episodes, most importantly Pegasus (S2) and Unfinished Business (S3), that I recommend reacting to instead of the normal version, at least in those two cases. - There are mini-webisodes called "The Resistance" between S2 and S3, and a movie called "Razor" between S3 and S4 (watch the extended version), and mini-webisodes called "The Face of the Enemy" after the S4 episode "Sometimes a Great Notion". These are recommended. - There is also post-show/post-S4 content: The movie "The Plan", the mini-webisodes prequel "Blood and Chrome", and the prequel series "Caprica". These are optional, as their quality is debatable (and arguably make things worse).

you guys are dropping the same movie again Justice League: Throne of Atlantis was last week this week was supposed to be Batman vs Robin

#SundayRundown (Angel) This episode really showcases the blend between silliness and thematic character work. Angel feels disconnected and has lost faith in the Shanshu prophecy. He’s just going through the motions. Just like Cinco. Furthermore, Cinco’s struggle with the beast that comes back every 50 years symbolizes Angel’s own eternal struggle. Both men have lost sight of their why and have to go on a journey of rediscovery. And this motivates Angel to go back and read the Shanshu prophecy. Angel’s faith in the Shanshu and his connection to it is something that gets revisited in the season. And all of this while lucha libre is happening. Season 5 just embraces the silliness while not sacrificing the characters.

#SundayRundown Battlestar Galactica "Don't let that woman off the ship" - Daddy Adama. Then at the end of the episode, "So she escaped, somehow" Adama's got to be thinking - "YOU HAD ONE JOB GUYS!!!" I think having the Cylons spine glow red during sex is a really dumb writing choice. They're supposed to be completely identical to humans, same organs, bones, muscles. So why the hell is the spine glowing? I forget if anyone mentioned this, the humans worship the gods (plural) Cylons say they worship god (singular). Different religion I guess.

I hope you guys watch All star superman and Superman vs Elite someday.

Originally, our plan for the DCAMU was to release movies every other week due to our reacting/editing load. However, based on feedback from our members, to make sure there was at least one video per week, we decided to release the uncut one week and the edited version of the same movie the following week. This was implemented last week by releasing the Throne of Atlantis Uncut only and continued this week with releasing the edited version of Throne of Atlantis. It will continue in this pattern for the rest of the movies as of right now. So, next week it will be the uncut of the movie next on the schedule and the week after that, it will be the edited version of that same movie.

Mmm understood completely misread that originally, thought it was uncut every week and edited every fortnight. My bad!
