'Reimagined' Firehouse Playset - PART 13 - Garage Doors (Patreon)

The firehouse garage doors took a little longer than I would have liked but they are finally here... and I have two options available....
Option 1 is a "Roll Up" style door like what you would see in today's real-world firehouse (and the Playmobil set). In real life, the rollup garage doors are more practical for arched entry way. When open, they provide full clearance for the Ectomobile with a roofrack or gunner chair.
With Option 2, I needed to get a little creative. I wanted the iconic swing-out barn doors but when dealing with an archway, the door height can only ever be the height where the arch begins. This leaves an area above the doors that closes off the archway. To preserve the desired Ectomobile clearance, I designed the top portion to be a "rollup" section and sit along the same track as Option 1. I ended up being quite happy with this solution.
BOTH options are interchangeable with a common track system. Feel free to try them both out and see what you like for your build.
Here are some diagrams to help...
Garage Frame + Track
The garage door frame/track is a little tedious to assemble. Have some superglue handy and maybe some mini-clips.
After assembly, I tack-glued it to the front entry wall and ceiling with hot glue in case I wanted to reposition things later.
Option 1 - Rollup Doors
The rollup door is broken into 6 sections that snap together. You can then slide them into the track. From there, you can manually raise or lower these doors.
Note: After snapping the doors together, I recommend moving the hinge joint around a bit to loosing things up and make the rollup action smoother.
Option 2 - Barn Doors
The barn doors can attach into the same track system for option 1. Two barn door hinges can be inserted into the vertical portion of the track. A 2-piece rollup section is then set into the track at the top. The assembly of the top section is identical to Option 1.
