Postponement of the pool scene (Patreon)
Content
Hey guys. 😺
Unfortunately, this isn't yet the publicization of the pool scene. I won't be able to finish it in August and will have to postpone it. 😭
There are two main reasons for this:
In my regular job I've often had to work extra shifts for those who are on vacation the last weeks.
And I worked out a lot more pictures and more detailed scenes than originally planned for the pool scene.
I have an intro scene (60 pics), one with Nicole/Mirai (56 pics) and one with Jane/Kumi (82 pics). This makes a total of 198 pictures. I'll do another one with Cora/Kiara and an end scene where the "girls who visited the cafe" show up again.
I also want to apologize for not publishing as much content as I used to and for the fact that updates are taking longer. At the beginning of working on WR, the ideas and the way to get there came naturally. I was able to romp around freely on a white paper. Now I'm in the phase where I have to build on what I've established and slowly move into the second to final phase of the story. That means I can no longer romp around “freely” but have to finish telling things, answer open questions and be careful not to introduce too many new things that distract from the main story.
The initial phase of a story is easier to create because you can let everything flow out of you creatively. But in the phase after that, you have to build on what you've established and can't work too freely. I realize that it's more exhausting and I don't have as much energy for it as I used to.
In the beginning, when I was working on a scene, the feeling was: "Oh cool, I have an creative idea that I want to realize." Now it's more like: "Okay, I've established this and in order for the story to remain coherent, the following has to happen now."
I hope that makes my situation a little easier to understand. I also think that maybe this situation, - where creativity is slowly waning and it's more about the work of bringing something to a good conclusion,- is one reason why many projects don't get finished. 🤔
That being said, I want to emphasize that I'm not planning to stop working on WR, but to finish the story in any case. I just want to explain why I think I'm struggling more with the work than I used to. And therefore updates take longer.
Thanks for reading and the great support 💖🥛
