I hadn't thought about it before, but I think the epilogue with Rock's former boss is showing the "height of Japanese Business culture" and how disconnected from family and life it is. And a goal that many have which Rock has now rejected. He has no real relationship with his family members, and he didn't even know the color of the sea (which completely surrounded him).

The dubbed version fits so well to this show. And the swearing adds so much to the show. Balalayka (the blonde woman with the scars) has such strong aura and the voice also fits so well.
