Christmas gift art piece for Dikran_O[at]FA/SF/IB featuring his characters Silver and Vikki.

A token of my appreciation for all the nice written works he produced with my three girls and one boy, over the last 15 years.

As the title implies, I'm spreading a little love in the wind~

Originally thought about this pose and setting to feature Coyotka and Ksi, but first, I always will have time to draw another piece with the canid duo later, second, Silver and Vikki did fit the frame better, seeing the height difference between Silver, who is shorter than his wife.

I'm pretty happy with the coloring results here, went an extra step further than before with the palette and depth. First time playing with a bit of rimlighting also. It feels like this is currently the most I can squeeze out of flat colors and celshade without taking things into the full color domain once again.

PS. the ides with making Vikkis dress slightly transparent is one of the better ones I had in a while >:3c

Colored version.

You sneaky Coyote~ But i'll say, using a sunset as the background lighting really adds to the feel of the piece

Coyotek

I went off the hinges and through a wall with this one. Probably the most I can squeeze out of celcoloring without pushing it into full color with soft shading (eventhough I think some things could've been done better, but it's a live & learn experience). Also did manage to send it Dikran on Xmas day, so everything went according to plan. Now we're doing a trade again, Coyotka and Ksi adventure time, and the usual story for art that we've been doing for last 3 years in a row, but it seems he's trying to flex back on me. Dropped me an e-mail on the weekend that it's turning to be one of the longest single stories he's ever written xD
