I had a thought of a character who’s an amputee but say this is an age where modern medicine and technology doesn’t exist yet, they practice necromancy to make a prosthetic arm (maybe also a leg?) from bones. Since I prefer drawing non-humans, what animal do you think would fit? I initially thought of a opossum but hmmm idk.

Great idea! What type of non human...an orc maybe? If thats too close to human can try wolf.

Draedpan

my mind said turtle first

Yeah, less humanoid. Oh yknow what, how about a prey necromancer with bone arm prosthetics from the same predator that ate their original arm off?

Darko

Ooo thats cool! Great idea! Deer with wolf arm? Maybe rabbit?

Opossum sounds great, with the whole “playing dead” idea.

Maybe some kind of reptile with a mammal's bones to replace the missing limbs? Or vice versa. Or if you did something like a predator with a prey's limb. A Wolf with a 'lucky rabbit's foot' or something?

MysteriousKaos

I think opossum is great tbh

I'm struggling to not just think of Patrick Star as a necromancer. XD

Seems like a creature with fairly jointed digits would be preferred, to feel more natural That is assuming the necromancer is leaning on the side of having a limb that feels like it belongs, and not more adventurous and wanting to try something unfamiliar!

I was sketching bigger limbs for the new arm and I was thinking yknow it’d be cool if they have a collection of different limbs from different creatures like a giant octopus tentacle, a crab claw, gorilla arm, etc. and the more I’m thinking of this, the more it’s gonna sound like a video game character now lmao
