Love Rory sticking up for her mom & I died laughing at Lorelei hanging up on Emily repeatedly. Twas deserved. 🙃 On another note, I would actually love for you to re-watch a GG episode from season one or two because I’m so curious if you’ll love Lorelei now! 🥰

I’m so glad Gilmore Girls is your favorite show to react to 🥲 and it’s so rewatchable so you should definitely go back and watch the early seasons. It’s always ranked really high on Netflix viewer lists because everyone rewatches since it’s such a comfort show This episode is amazing. Could not wait to see your reaction to the kiss 😭 this season is great and excited to see what you think of the rest of it!

See, Emily did not apologize because she doesn’t believe she did anything wrong. Yet, I think it shows how much she actually loves Lorelei that she “agrees” that she should date Luke (not that she has any right to decide, but she definitely thinks she does). Emily’s actions are really egoistic but they allow us to see that in her own way she prioritizes having a relationship with Lorelei to Lorelei living under her rules (e.g. dating a “proper” man) which is hard for Emily since she is used to being always right. P.S. Emily is such a complex character, I support her rights and wrongs 😂

Yeah, I think the vibe and characters just took some getting used too, I don't think I was overly harsh on the early seasons, but it's like with 'Friends' where I just know I'd enjoy those early seasons even more now

“Amy, who the hell is Amy?” Me! Me it’s me! 😅🤣 I’m a child! 😝 how anyone can say Rory didn’t care about Luke….this scene speaks volumes. Her mom was with a great guy that loves her and makes her happy, and Emily deliberately encouraged him to ruin the relationship, even stating she didn’t think much of Chris but hey, at least he comes from money! To give Sookie some credit, pregnancy can be exhausting. She wanted to take a Lorelai out but pregnancy is pretty draining hence the falling asleep. We can’t call it development, development would be her realising she did something wrong and wanting to fix it. She’s doing this not because she feels bad for ruining things, but because Lorelai won’t talk to her. That’s not development. 🤷‍♀️

This is my favorite season of GG so I’m thrilled you’re having such a fun time with it! That’s probably as close to an apology as you’re likely to get from Emily Gilmore so I’m just glad Luke took her advice lol

Like emily said when she went to christopher, she doesn’t even like him much but he is of ”good breed” so he’s good enough🙃they definitely value different things in life and she has to at least accept that or else this will keep on happening

It was the money for Chilton (Rory’s high school) that Lorelai paid back. Rory borrowed the money for Yale on her own, the day of her graduation. That’s how Lorelai was able to buy the Dragonfly Inn with Sookie.

i love this episode mostly because of friday night dinner. I find it so interesting as rory has never clashed with emily quite like this before. and I noticed on rewatch that she seems to be styled in lorelai's clothes (or clothes like it), must be a deliberate choice!

I know everyone will probably say that about their favorite show, but I think GG is truly unique in the sense that it's not just a random comfort show, but it's incredibly funny, quirky (and yes, that included Miss Patty and Babette, lol!), and just so intelligent in terms of the writing.
