Game of Thrones 4x5 Watch Along

Comments

dylan s

YES absolutely you should watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail!

Tteaal

the vibe for the show gets darker and darker so be prepared for that. season 5 is one of the worst ones in that aspects. you guys need to mentally prepare for some really dark and heavy plotlines, you might need to take a break from filming to process things. some reactors have threatened to quit the show so that should give you an idea.

JD Sharpe

Yeah, the more Benioff and Weiss start to work their own plotlines, the more rape scenes you get. They have their loves, and rape is one of them. Of course, the books have rape in them, but it's usually for a reason whereas these guys like rape for its own sake.

Joel Cook

here to concur with this and add that uhhh (how to say politely and spoiler-free?) the Teleporting does not improve. lost it at Carl's fookin' knifeASMR being the worrrrrrrst

Dani

monty python reaction like PLS PLS PLS. & the comment about the travel distance is so funny bc y'all have seen NOTHING yet

Eric

Regarding the White Walkers. Remember the White Walkers were "defeated" thousands of years ago. So, unless Craster was immortal, the White Walkers can't all be his children.

I think you’re a little early on the teleporting comments. lol. Not everything we see on screen is occurring concurrently. A storyline in one area of the map might occur over a month while another storyline might occur over several months. But this has always been the case, even in season 1. In the very first episode Robert and the royal family travels from KL to Winterfell, a month long trip, within the same episode. But the return trip takes several episodes.

MGCR

There's no mention of anything AMERICAN in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Maple. LOL.

Jon's party arrived at Crastors keep so quickly because they were all Rangers that had all been north of the wall before except for Locke. When Jeor Mormont went north he had 300 Rangers/Stewards/Builders thats why it took them so long to get anywhere.

Athasin

Crazy how I realized that Robbin (Lysa's son) might actually be Peter's if her years comment is to be believed.

Ludus Aurea

Glad you didn't talk through it so you heard the revelation that Lhysa and Petyr are the one's responsible for literally every miserable thing that's happened in the show thus far in Westeros. Also, you know how the season will end - why did Jon go north to kill the mutineers? Interested to see your reaction next episode regarding the Moon Door lol. Like I said, Season 4 is fire. Season 3 - 6 are the best parts of this show with some scenes here and there in the others. Every scene with the Hound and or Arya and/or the Brotherhood is the actual peak thrones, as far as I'm concerned - not the showboaty big moments like the Red Wedding or the Blackwater or stuff like that. Oh and the trial, that's also 11/10. It's important to actually listen and pay attention. All of the plot developments in the season have been seeded already and you can see where they will be going.

Ludus Aurea

Plus it was only like 11 miles. I'm fat and I can walk 11 miles in a day, it likely took them at least a week.

karl always reminded me of this clip @maple https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Db3rluT76w

OldManGrim

Not sure if ya'll caught this yet, but the actor playing Tommen was also one of the two cousins that the Karstarks killed under Robb's care. So he got an upgrade, so to speak!

Ludus Aurea

Was gonna disagree but then I remembered all the fire. And governor swan.

Joe Blankenship

YESSS, Arianna needs to see Monty Python and the Holy Grail!
