When photographing in black and white, you often don't look at the image for what it is, but only see it in relation to the white areas, in light, and the black areas, in the shade. When I was about to take this photo, the image I saw was that of a large inverted heart. So I turned the photo upside down. Maybe now the heart I saw is not so obvious, but I assure you it was there and for me it is still there... and it is a sacred heart

Quando si fotografa in bianco e nero spesso non si guarda l’immagine per quella che è, ma la si vede solo in rapporto alle zone chiare, in luce, e le zone scure, in ombra. Quando stavo per scattare questa foto, l’immagine che vedevo era quella di un grande cuore rovesciato. Così ho capovolto la foto. Forse ora il cuore che io vedevo non è così evidente, ma vi assicuro che c’era e per me c’è ancora... ed è un cuore sacro

(ho incluso anche lo scatto originale, orientato nel verso giusto. Quale versione preferite?)
