In our ongoing series of '00s reality shows that took all the fun out of immorality, the Dogg Zzone 9000 takes a look at Fox's The Moment of Truth with beloved scholar and funnyman from the Secretly Incredibly Fascinating podcast, Alex Schmidt!

Alex is our most kind-hearted and positive friend, so we invited him on to discuss this lie detector-based interrogation show designed to humiliate families and mirthlessly reflect our own darkness back at us! Listen here! Or wherever you get podcasts!

Sorry, I fucked up the timing on that. Leave a nice review anyway!

A double helping of Schmitty this week? Did we win something? (looks at preview article) No. No, we did not.

There is something about the energy you three have in podcasts. I can't really describe it, but I love it. My favorite episodes of SIF are with Sean and Brockway.

Brendan McGinley

Saving this one for a long drive today so my girlfriend knows exactly the kind of abyss we have to stare into to remain one with the Hot Dog.

MrSerious

Man, I hated S&B on SIF. I was like, who are these unfunny fucks that keep interrupting Alex? Then I listened to all the Jason Pargin Dogg Zzones. Now I'm reading articles on the site. Yesterday I listened to a Dogg Zzone just for S&B. You are right, they have GREAT energy!! I went back and the SIF on Vending Machines is fucking hysterical. I guess I was just secretly incredibly kind of stupid and judgmental.

I'm psyched cant wait, hoping I get to listen soon!

I did a similar double-take 'this will help ease the anxiet.....oh well uh yeah it'll be alright'

Alex Schmidt

These pictures are so accurate. That’s the show’s exact timing 😬

Flippant Sausage

Cool, a second helping of Schmidt. Even if it comes with a side of hopeless depravity.

Darth itHead

Not that Sean's tinfoil hat theories about the producers cheating are necessarily wrong, but the thing that struck me from the premise is that if you take a machine that is about 80% accurate and ask people to match it 21 times to win you're not going to have to pay out a whole lot of money.

Bonnybedlam

The important thing is you learned. And that's what Hot Dog is all about. Well, 20% about. Sometimes more, depending on the week.
