Sun Salts & Faerie Sugar (Patreon)

Here are two recipes for the Summer Solstice & Litha! You can make sun salts and/or faerie sugar to celebrate. They’re very easy to make and you can make them as a last minute way to celebrate!

Sun Salts

These salts are super easy to make and are good for any sun magic, an offering to solar deities, solar bath salts, salt scrubs, cleansing, energy, positivity, healing, creativity, protection, and more 🌞

What you need:

🔆A mortar and pestle

🌼Sea salt

🍊Dried orange peel (and/or orange essential oil)

🌻Chamomile, marigold, sunflower, or any yellow petaled flower (dried)

🌾A dash of cinnamon powder

Instructions:

🔆Gather your ingredients

🔆Combine them one by one in a mortar and pestle until the salt changes color (yellow or orange) or until its powderized

🔆Let it charge in the sunlight (sunrise-sunset) with your favorite sun crystal

🔆store in an airtight bottle and enjoy!

🧚‍♀️Faerie Sugar Recipe🧚‍♀️

Here’s an easy little offering you can make for the Fae. You can add to it if you’re feeling festive or just keep it simple.

Ingredients:

Sugar

Pure vanilla extract

Red food coloring

Rose petals *optional*

Small container

Instructions:

Start with your sugar, I used confectioners sugar here because my regular sugar was brown so it wouldn’t color correctly. Add in a bit of vanilla extract. Drop in red food coloring until you get a magickal pink color. Start with a little and add more as needed.

*Optional: add in sprinkles, stones, rose petals, flowers, bells, charms, etc.
