Let's talk about some ways to harness the energy of the New Moon in Aries on April 1st, 2022 at 2:24 AM ET! This moon is all about taking action, being yourself and finding stability. Here are some rituals to help with organizing any intense energy you may be feeling, as well as, putting forth your intentions!
Chelsea Jackson says, "You’ll be feeling inclined to initiate something — specifically pertaining to the Aries-ruled house in your birth chart. This area of your chart is essentially where you look for the most independence in your life, and the new moon is serving as a surge in energy to support any new endeavors you begin now. While Aries is a sign that thrives when embarking on a new project, it can be challenging to follow through to the end, so be sure to start on something that you’re passionate enough about to complete. It’ll really be important to pace yourself now, so that you don’t burn out before you finish. Starting strong is great, but finishing strong is also important. Aries also tends to be a sign that prefers to work alone, so working on something solo is probably best right now, but be sure to ask for a helping hand if you need one."
Rituals for the New Moon in Aries:
1.) Cleanse Stagnant Energy:
If you're feeling in a slump, do something that moves your body. You could hit the gym, go for a walk, or exercise in your own way to get that stagnant energy flowing again. If you feel the opposite and have too much energy, moving your body can help release that excess energy. You could follow this up with a cleansing shower or bath to wash away lingering energy and a nourishing meal, too!
2.) Practice Mindfulness with Journaling:
With this fiery energy, you may be feeling a bit chaotic and essentially "all over the place". This may cause feelings of negativity to surface and cause some resistance. One way you can try to move through these emotions is by practicing mindfulness. This helps you not give into the negative emotions, but rather acknowledge them, sit with them and move through them.
But how can I practice mindfulness?
Here are some journal prompts you can use to either write down or ask to yourself:
What lesson do you feel is in this experience at this moment?
What type of self-talk am I giving myself about this situation? Is it true or is it fiction?
What is the meaning of this experience?
You are allowed to feel these negative emotions, but try to not let it consume you. Other mindfulness exercises you can try if you are feeling stressed or frustrated are breathing exercises and meditation.
3.) Take Meaningful Action
Once you feel more grounded with utilizing mindfulness techniques, you are ready to pursue meaningful action towards your goals and change. It is important to remember that you don't want to overwhelm yourself by doing too much. Small, purposeful changes add up to bigger, transformational change. If it is feeling too forced, slow down. Gradually make your way into taking action. Feel free to release what is no longer serving you.
4.) Aries New Moon Tarot
This is a great tarot spread by Davy and Tracy to try for the New Moon. "The Emperor card is associated with Aries, embodying power, authority, reason, and leadership. The suit of wands is also associated with the element of fire, with each card depicting a progression through a journey."
Here is a simple Intention/Action tarot spread to try during an Aries New Moon:
5.) Fire Rituals
New Moons are a great time to set your intentions. Write down your intentions on pieces of paper or bay leaves) then burn them using a candle or even a bonfire. The smoke will carry your intent into the Universe. Give your intentions and rituals an extra boost by using crystals that carry "fire" energy and dressing your candle with "fiery" herbs and oils. (Check out the correspondences below for more info!) Carry these crystals with you too!
6.) Socialize
This Aries energy may be making you feel a bit more social and outgoing! Harness this New Moon by hanging out with your friends or meet some new people who have a variety of perspectives, interests and backgrounds. Doing this may help keep you grounded and release some high energy!
7.) Do Something For Your Inner Child
What's something you loved to do as a kid? Did you love going to amusement parks, playing in the waves at the beach or drawing with chalk on the sidewalk? Do something for your inner child and let loose! Perhaps you could treat yourself to a dessert you loved eating as a kid or even have a cartoons with cereal morning?! Did you ever have breakfast for dinner as a kid and absolutely love it? Maybe even take out a coloring book or some paint to get creative. Whatever you choose, have fun!
8.) Lazy Self-Care Day
If you've been feeling like you've been on-the-go-go-go too much lately, use this New Moon to chill and relax. Sometimes we want to really harness the action-taking energy of these moons and sometimes we are burnt out! Let yourself stay in bed all day in your pajamas, eat breakfast at noon, watch movies, have a bath and snacks or whatever you'd like to do to rejuvenate.
