New Moon in Cancer Ritual

On June 28th, the Cancer new moon brings in deep introspection, sensitivity and intuition. This water sign wants us to nourish our inner child, have more fun, do a little more daydreaming and be present for joyful moments. This zodiac sign also feels the most contentment when comfortable and nourished. Use this print-out to customize your own New Moon in Cancer ritual that best fit for you!

1.) Find a cozy space and have a notebook and a pen with you. Do whatever else would bring you more comfort, such as brewing your favorite tea, lighting candles or incense, keeping your crystals nearby or play soft music.

2.) Set a timer for 20 minutes and write this question at the top of a blank sheet of paper: "What brings me happiness and joy?" Start your timer and intuitively write every person, thing, taste, sound, spell, feeling, texture, experience, and anything else you can think of that makes you feel joy until the timer goes off. These things are your natural medicines, your anchors that keep your grounded and direction to joy and happiness.

3.) Take a moment to put your pen down and pause after your timer goes off. Place a hand on your heart and a hand on your belly. Take three deep breaths. Repeat the mantra out load or in your head: “I receive Joy. I am connected to Joy. I am made of Joy." Open your eyes and review your list. Allow whatever feelings arise to be present.

4.) On a new page in your journal, write down one thing on your list that you will do this week to nourish your joy. Commit to yourself. Take yourself on a date. Remember, you can revisit your list whenever you need a reminder, feel stressed or overwhelmed and stuck You'll be reminded of all of the joy that is around you.
