Did you know that Sunday’s are best to cast any spells that have to do with success, business ventures, career advancements and opportunities? Here is a list of a variety of different career spells to try out if you are looking for a new job or going for an interview!

🕯Simple Job Spell by Phoenyx of the Ashes🕯

This one is an extremely simple spell.

Needed:

Either a white or green candle

Instructions:

Visualize yourself obtaining a job.  Meditate on this thought.  Build up energy within your visualization.

Chant:

“A job I will gain

Goddess Persephone, help me in my campaign

My employment has been long overdue

As this candle burns, my desire will come true”

Let the candle burn out.

Notes: Replace Persephone with your deity of choice if needed

👁Visualization Job Spell by Rainy Day Witchcraft👁

This is just a simple, easy job spell! Perfect for the day you submit your resume or job application, and adds a boost of luck to your chances. Note: This spell should be done in addition to applying for a certain job

Materials

• Green candle
• Wealth/Luck Powder (recipe here)
• Copy of your application

Step 1: The Set-Up

On a flat surface, fold a copy of your application or resume into a smaller flat square, and place your green candle right in the center, surrounded by a ring of Wealth/Luck Powder. (I found that the skinnier candle I used sat up better when I slightly melted the bottom with a lighter, and stuck it to the paper!) This candle can be carved with any matter of sigils, runes, words or chants to add some power and intent to your spell. Your application/resume can also include these: I personally chose to add some luck, success, and “getting hired” sigils to the paper.

When this is done, carry the paper & candle over to the area you will be performing your visualization at; I chose to do it while sitting on my bed, as I perform most of my meditation there! The candle should preferably be at eye-level to prevent slouching or back pain, but this is not necessary.

Step 2: Visualization

Begin readying yourself by approaching a meditative state. Control your breathing, sit with half of your back-end elevated (to prevent back pain) and focus on clearing your mind. When you’ve reached your calm and cleared state (whenever this might be for you) light the candle, and begin your visualization. Visualize yourself getting a call from the employer, acing your interview, working at the business, etc! Visualize what you hope for yourself, how to get there, and what steps you’ll take to make it happen.  (Tip: While visualizing, you may close your eyes or stare into the candle flame, whichever is easier for you)

When you have finished visualizing these things, sprinkle some wealth/luck powder into the flame and candle wax. At this time, you may choose to say a few words, or perhaps a more elaborate chant. When this is done, go ahead and let your candle burn out and melt onto the paper. You may also press a sigil or symbol into the melted wax when the candle has snuffed out, or sprinkle your remaining powder into it

Step 3: Taking Measures

Of course, as with any spell, it does take some non-magickal work on your part! Here are a few common tips on applying and interviewing for jobs:

• Do your best to submit a professional, clean, and completed resume or application. Make sure the paper isn’t wrinkled, that your handwriting is neat and legible, and sometimes it can even increase your chances of being hired if you submit a cover letter!
• Wear nice clothes, regardless of the job you are applying for. Make sure not to show too much skin, or dress in anything that would not be appropriate for the workplace. Although extremely sexist on the part of the american work system, this tip is more for the ladies ~
• Speak clearly and at a good volume; hold eye contact, smile, and (if time allows) ask some questions about the company, or share what knowledge you already have on it.

And good luck! Even if you are not hired for the job, just keep on trying; If you are especially hard on cash, try looking at jobs you wouldn’t normally consider

💰A Spell to Attract Money/Job by You Gave Me Hyacinths💰

What you’ll need:

- Sesame oil

- Peppermint (in any form–oil, tea–heck, even a stick of gum; shoutout to other broke witches)

- A candle (I recommend gold, green, or red)

- Pencil and paper

- A coin

- Optional: Crystals for luck in money, like citrine or jade. Any additional symbols for luck in money such as certain tarot cards, runes, or idols.

What to Do:

1.) Combine the sesame oil and whatever peppermint you’re using. Let them combine for a while. Meanwhile, cleanse your altar, draw your circle, do what ya’ got to do.

2.) Anoint your candle and coin with the oil mixture, place both on your altar, and light the candle.  I’m not a big one for writing scripted chants, so here is where I would meditate in front of the altar, and write my desires and incantations on the paper–adding a sigil for even more power, most likely.

3.) When you have written your desire, be it for a windfall of money or a new job or what have you, fold the coin into the center and seal up the packet with drippings from the candle.  Keep it nearby, potentially in a spell bag with crystals or herbs that attract money and luck if you have them.  When you finally do get your wish, thank the god and goddess by doing something nice for your altar.

💵Job Interview Sachet Spell by The Manic Nami💵

A spell sachet to help you during interviews and in getting new jobs.

You Will Need:

• White Sachet
• Agate (good luck)
• Citrine (fortune, good luck, success)
• Sunstone (good luck, positive energy, personal power)
• Carnelian (good luck)
• Tiger’s Eye (clarity, intelligence, prosperity, financial gain, focus)
• Labradorite (success, stress reduction)
• Lepidolite (stress reduction, good luck)
• Hematite (calming, memory, focus)

Steps:

Cleanse all of the crystals in the moonlight the night before. Add them into your sachet and tie it shut if needed. Carry sachet with you to job interview in a bag or purse. While waiting, if you are waiting, you can hold it and rub it in your hand(s). Though tip, don’t play with it during the actual interview, it can be distracting. Instead keep it in your coat pocket or keep your bag near you.

💰New Job Spell Jar by Becoming Witchy💰

Spell jar for helping the job search, getting a new job, or going into a new job.

Ingredients:

• Salt - for protection
• Shells - for wealth
• Moss - for prosperity and luck
• Oats - for wealth
• Hyacinth - for protection and happiness
• Sugar - extra boost!
• Black pepper - for courage
• Optional: Citrine, jade, tiger's eye, clear quartz

Stick a small note in with a sigil of your choice, I used my ‘I will get a job with good hours, a good pay, and that I enjoy’ sigil and chanted as such while preparing the jar.

I added a spread of cards I had a personal connection to regarding wealth, working and new ventures. Left it to charge on the windowsill overnight by the full moon.

Replace/add/take away ingredients where appropriate.

💼 Spell For a New Job by Becoming Witchy💼

I’ve used this once on my brother when he was seriously job searching and he got a job in 2 days. (Remember nothing falls in your lap you gotta work on top of spellwork)

Thing’s you’ll need:

• - fresh ginger
• - small orange taper candle (or any small non-scented orange candle)
• - 1 cinnamon stick
• - a pinch or 2 of sea salt
• - some sort of oil to anoint the candle with I used olive oil
• - something to put all this on

What to Do:

1.) (If you cast circles beforehand do so now, I did for this particular instance just because I felt like I needed all the help I could get)

2.) Anoint the candle with your oil and break up your cinnamon stick and use a specifically sharp piece to carve things in your candle in like “new job” or “job” or anything you associate with a new job, like coins, or dollar signs.

3.) Place the candle in the middle of whatever you have to put the candle on (I have a specific blessed black plate that I use for all my candles) and sprinkle the sea salt and the broken cinnamon stick in a clockwise circle around the candle, and take 3 slices of the fresh ginger in a triangle around the candle, then take 3 deep breaths to prepare for the spell.

4.) Take a fourth piece of ginger and put it in your mouth, lay it on your tongue. Focus on the heat and imagine that that fire in your mouth is speeding you toward getting a job. Light the candle then say ~

“ I shall get this job and get it quick, earning money without a hitch.

This job will keep me safe and sound, this job will soon come around”

While saying this imagine getting a check in your hand, no specific amount just a check from a job. Take the piece of ginger then bury it as close to your front door as possible. This ginger will bring in  job opportunities. If you live in an apartment complex then you can bury it or just place it close to your apartment’s main door way.

💵 Job Hunting Spell by Moody Moons 💵

If you are thinking about moving on from your current position, or are even just interested in pursuing something different on the side, this is a nice little ritual to get the spiritual side of things in order.

You will need:

*Green felt or fabric

*Needle and thread (preferably green, but white will also work)

*Piece of paper and pen

*A dollar bill (or other currency note)

*1 piece of your choice of any of the following stones

-Malachite

-Yellow calcite

-Jade

*A pinch of any or all of the following herbs:

-Allspice

-Cinnamon

-Mint

-Rosemary

1. On the first night of the waxing moon, find a quiet space and gather your spell elements.

2. Sew a basic sachet pillow, leaving the top open.  It does not need to be large; a couple of square inches will do.

3. Write down some broad things you are looking for in a job.  Be general, realistic and keep an open mind.  Your ideal job may be something you hadn’t thought of before. Trust that the universe knows better than you do what you need right now.  Qualities like “cooperative team spirit,” “a salary I can live on,” or “use of my creative talents” are better than “a corner office with six figures and a reserved parking space.”  I rolled this one into a scroll and tied a cute little green ribbon around it.

4. Place it in the sachet, along with your chosen herb.  (I used dried mint.)

5. Add the dollar bill and your chosen stone.  (I used malachite.)

6. Sew up the open side.

7.  Bless and consecrate the sachet in whatever way you chose.  If you don’t have a method, sprinkling it with spring water and/or smoking it with sage are both fine choices.

8. Bury the sachet near the roots of an evergreen, preferably somewhere near your home.  During your job search, periodically stop by and “water” the sachet with spring water or wine.

9. Go look for a job! Happy hunting.
