I. I have no words. I love you.

Jack's World

I haven't watched your vid yet, but I will just say that this episode was nooot the finale I was looking for tbh, in almost every sense of the word it felt WAY too fan service filled, incredibly unrealistic & way too convenient. The acting & dialogue when Rick, Michonne, Thorne & Beale were having their discussions were surprisingly bad IMO which is very unlike scenes with Rick & Michonne. The acting by RJ’s actor & dialogue was also WAAAY worse than i was anticipating. We barely got any of him in the main show which didn't give us much to bond with seeing how Carl was gone, we have Judith & that was our strong tie to them. But the fact that they just took out the entire bunch of the "bad" part of the military, jumped by the whole of the civilian population finding out about all of the bad shit & just had Rick & Michonne survive that MASSIVE explosion, plus the gas for a significant amount of time without proper face coverage just took me out of it SO much & that hurts my soul. This felt far too rushed IMO, they built the CRM up through the main show, Fear TWD, World Beyond, Tales of TWD even a lil bit, and over 5+ years IRL for us & they get wiped out THIS easily (the bad side of it) and THAT quickly??? Idk guys it just doesn't feel right or good to me. They essentially jammed & crammed in the entirety of the back half of the whole Commonwealth Arc into an episode & a half & expected everyone to just love it. Sadly, most people were blindly entranced by nostalgia & "loooooooooooooove" so they just refused to look into all the glaring mistakes & errors & so I just kinda distanced myself from it all because I was in the minority with this opinion sadly. It also irritated me SO much that Rick all sYmBoLiCaLlY left behind his expertly crafted hand BLADED weapon!!! That is NOT easy to find, & it was legitimately crafted to FIT HIM!!! I feel this way because of how much I have loved this show & universe over the last 15 years of my life, I've been given greatness from this universe in many ways, so the way they built this up gave a false impression that there would be some bigger picture here, more important info from that briefing & nothing really came of it. I've yet to go back & watch this finale as a whole by myself after doing my own reaction to it & editing because it just hurts too much IMO. I don't want it to feel like I was opposed to a happy ending for our faves, but Idk it just felt like they brushed over all the build up for the CRM & now we don't have much in the way of stakes or story to interest many people moving forward in the Universe as a whole, other than the other 2 spin off shows that you haven't gotten to check out yet! I'm looking forward to those VERY MUCH! I don't see much left for these 2 other than reunions at this point so even though we've not gotten a word of S2 or not, I honestly don't want one at this rate & would rather the other 2 spin off shows keep going.

Daryl spinoff or negan and maggie maybe?

Season 2 of Daryl Dixon just came out a couple months ago. Season 3 comes out this sometime this year. I’ve enjoyed the series a lot so far. It doesn’t matter if you guys watch this first or the Negan and Maggie one. I personally enjoyed the plot more in Daryl Dixon. It’s set in France and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. It’s hard to judge which one’s better since Dead City currently only has one season but their are some pretty cool characters.

Their is also a very short 6 episode series called Tales of the walking dead, which has no ties to any walking dead spin offs. Each episode is a different cast encoutering various problems and trying to survive. It’s pretty cool and they even got Terry Crews as a main character in one of the episodes lol. A-Train from the boys is also in an episode lmao.

Okay I can't take the disrespect no more we gotta get Jason to react to lost lol

you guys gotta give fear the walking dead a chance, also there was a series that you were supposed to watch before this called twd world beyond

And we were told it's not mandatory but it does give some little context on crm and that it as well as jadis I guess or something like that

The Portland and Omaha plot point is a direct reference to World Beyond spin-off, where the “CRM” story was first truly explored -aside from a small handful of moments throughout a couple seasons of Fear, of which really weren’t worth anything in the grand scheme.

Michael Hoskins

Also on the whiteboard as Thorne is searching for Rick, you get a quick glimpse of PPP letters - confirmed as the one and only direct reference to that PPP card seen in TWD at location where Heath disappeared way back when in first half of season 7. Showrunner confirmed that it was confirmation that Heath was taken to CRM, but of course, as they do in the Gimple-verse, it was a vague little wink-nod that really didn’t pay anything off and was so quick that many missed it. So, of course, Heath never returned and was never directly mentioned again after he left TWD.

Michael Hoskins

For whatever it may be worth, it would make most sense to “next” watch Daryl 1 + 2. And then after that, checkout Dead City (ie Maggie + Negan) season 1; its S2 airs sometime in 2025. you can also choose to watch World Beyond to plug-in some gaps and inside stories relating to Jadis, CRM, snd its now-past workings. Fear is 100% optional for just highlights, “character-specific arcs” and TWDU timeline nuances, really.

Michael Hoskins

With what you know now from TOWL, it might make sense to catch World Beyond. There is more focus on CRM and the alliance communities, as well as Jadis and some semi-interesting side characters. There are also specific things that happen in the show that provide a little more context to things you’ve now seen in this Rick and Michonne series, as well as something very specific that may peak your interest in directly starting the Daryl series from there. Maggie and Negan spinoff is less connected at this point to anything else, and I would suggest leaving that for last, as of now.
