Important Update: Copyright Issues and Model Changes (Patreon)
Content
We have some unfortunate news to share with you regarding this month's planned releases, and we want to be as transparent as possible about the situation.
We’ve received a copyright-related warning regarding our design for Demet last month release.
As some of you may know, we've been working on the War Emperor model and a special 3-month loyalty diorama (which was going to feature D- diorama), both of which were set to be released soon. After carefully reviewing the situation, we've decided that we will not be able to release these models this month.
The models have some similarities to existing intellectual property, and we want to be extra cautious to avoid any potential copyright complications. Unfortunately, this means we will also be removing the Demet model from our listings. We deeply apologize for this inconvenience and for the disappointment this may cause.
We put a lot of time and effort into creating these models, and it’s truly heartbreaking to have to pull them back, but we want to prioritize being compliant with copyright laws and protecting our community from any legal trouble. We’ll be working hard to make sure this doesn’t happen again by steering clear of designs that might infringe on any existing intellectual property.
What Does This Mean for You?
For this month, we won’t be able to release the War Emperor model or the 3-month loyalty diorama.
Solution:
Instead, to make up for this, we’ll be opening up a Suggestion Post soon, and we can’t wait to see which character you guys suggest. So, we'd pick the characters from your suggestion and do those characters to fill up the missing models.
For Our Merchant Tier Members
We want to remind all our merchant tier members not to list or sell Demet last month model on any platform, as it could lead to serious copyright issues for everyone involved. We’re doing everything we can to avoid further complications and legal risks.
A Final Word
We’re genuinely sad and tired from dealing with this constant copyright stress. It’s been affecting our workflow and causing a lot of emotional strain. We’ve always tried to be as creative and free as possible, but we now need to be extra cautious with the characters we create to ensure we’re not violating any rules.
We really appreciate your understanding during this difficult time, and we’re grateful for the support we’ve received. We’ll continue to be transparent with all of you, as always, and we hope to bring you some awesome models in the future that are free from these complications.
