"The Abollyth are a sexually trimorphic race that have human sized females, fairly large and intimidating males, and slightly smaller sized neuters. The Abollyth were believed to be extinct after an organized genocide by the Elves and Hyttorians working together to completely eliminate them. It didn’t work completely, though, and the Abollyth managed to survive in the far south of the planet. The Abollyth certainly haven’t forgiven IDOL for the near obliteration of their race, and are fiercely nationalistic for TSAR because of it.

Along with physical polymorphism, the social behavior of their various genders is highly varied. Female Abollyth are very uncommon, representing only about 5% of the race as a whole, and have a reputation as drifters, driven by instinct to wander about. In many places, the female Abollyth have a dark reputation as harbingers of disaster, as natural pheromones they produce while under stress can drive males of their race into a defensive rampage.

Neuter Abollyth, about 60% of the race, tend to stay in place, and also tend to be the ones to raise any children. While they have no biological function in the reproduction of their race, the neuter Abollyth, unaffected by the chemical signals of either of the other genders, are able to focus on protecting Abollyth children while the males seek to drive off any threat.

Male Abollyth tend to prefer to accompany a Female or Neuter of their race, and their behavior is often as a protector of their chosen charge. Driven instinctively, male Abollyth are built like weapons, designed to be guardians of whoever they choose to follow. Male Abollyth are feared because of their inability to forestall pheromone induced bouts of rampage, and most rely heavily on drugs to suppress the effects of their biology, leaving them at the mercy of side effects."
