Still working hard on Sunwave Hotel, but now and again, my mind wanders to the future. I have a couple of concepts (some which are burning in my mind and getting annoying haha). I already know that I will probably use Renpy for the next game to simplify things, but another big question is if I should make another 2d game or if I should venture into the realm of 3d.

Both come with their pluses and minuses and naturally I'd need to find a new artist who is as competent and skilled as the current artists, but the idea does get me a bit excited.

But as always, I want to hear what you guys think, so I'd like to get your input via a poll here. No guarantee that final result will steer the decision, but it would be good to see if the votes skew heavily one way or another. And of course, it's not like my second solo game will be my last game.

I do like your 2D games but it is always good to experiment with 3D and see where it takes you.

Really depends on what you're going for. You might see yourself limited, story or time-wise, by needing renders for everything. And the amount of work put into the rendering gives a noticeable change in quality of the result
