*Please note that during the interview with Tim Russ he had some mic issues, and that is what the odd noise is that you hear during that section.*

The Delta Flyers is a weekly Star Trek: Voyager rewatch and recap podcast hosted by Garrett Wang and Robert Duncan McNeill. Each week Garrett and Robert will rewatch an episode of Voyager starting at the very beginning. This week’s episode is Meld. Garrett and Robbie recap and discuss the episode, and share their insight as series regulars. Tim Russ joins them for a short interview.

Meld:
Tuvok is plagued by the senselessness of a murder aboard Voyager.

Yule Tide

There is a guy out there somewhere on the Internet who wrote looong (multi-thousand-word) reviews of each Voyager episode in 2017-18. I read some of them. I came to realize that he was DS9 fan and preferred it to Voyager and often has negative comments on Voyager (often because it's not like DS9). HOWEVER, this critical prolific reviewer I'm talking about loved "Meld," along with actually a large number of other episodes. I think he put Meld as one of the best of Season 2 and even one of the better of the entire 7 seasons. Robbie McNeil and Garrett Wang both said they'd give it just a "7/10"!

"Meld" is one of the best Voyager episodes, Tim Russ is one of the best Voyager actors, Tuvok is one of the best Voyager characters (in my top three) and DS9 is the best Trek show by quite a margin. Opinions are, of course, subjective. However, all of that can be backed up with pretty objective arguments.

I got chills when Tim Russ said "live long and prosper".
