Great to hear Scott Bakula is as lovely as he seems.

As thoughtful as the episode might otherwise be, Q's sexism is a blight on Voyager. Star Trek is supposed to be aspirational, an optimistic look at a possible future for humanity. What message are we sending when an omnipotent being is such a dismissive, bigoted creep to our first woman captain? Sisko had the right idea - Janeway should have punched him right out of the series.

Ok so I know you made this comment months ago but yes! It would quite rightly have been totally unacceptable for Q to have broken the 4th wall in the same way on DS9 and made racist comments to Sisko, but it’s interesting that the powers that be thought the sexism to Janeway was fine. The worst thing is I don’t remember seeing anything wrong with it when I first saw it in the 90s. Times change thank goodness.
