And draft 1 is done.

If you have thoughts on the book, I welcome them. Honestly, unless it’s going to be mindless bashing of it. There are no bad comments.

This was an interesting ride for me. It’s the first book in this series not fully discovery written, and the first time I did so with a story’s treatment, instead of an actual outline. I have to say that for this story, it worked well. It kept me ‘on track’ while letting the story go where it needed to go.

Having mostly left comments as I wrote, I don’t really have much to add. Despite the ‘1st draftiness’ of the book, I’m pleased with it. Draft 2 should resolve most of the issues I’ve forgotten about. I’m ultimately surprised at how ‘short’ this draft is, not even passing 200k words. Bottom Rung, the 1st and shortest to date, is 211k words. Book 2 and 3 are beyond 300k words each. I expect the book to be longer than book 1, once I’m done draft 2, but I’m curious where it will fall compared to the other 2.

The posting of the chapters will start on January 13th, for the Avid Reader Tier, then a week later for the tier below that, and so on. On March 3rd, the chapters will start posting on Royal Road. For those with an interest, I will also post my Read and Corrects of the chapters on Youtube(@TheTigerWrites) on a similar schedule as RR. I will be posting chapters on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

This the buffer should make it that I won’t have to change the posting schedule, as I had to for draft one.
