the day off insomnia (Patreon)

Now, this was as been nice, I did have a last minute change of plan that caused some issues for the company. They decided to route me through Calgary on my way to British Columbia, so I could renew my driver's license before making my delivery instead of after. Of course they wanted me in Calgary one day before there was any chances I'd get there, but that was their problem, not mine.
Driving through the BC mountain meant another snow storm. That would be why I don't like Hwy 1 in the winter, it seems like it's always, and I mean, always snowing there. Still I made it with enough time to switch for an empty, to the pickup, switch back to my previous trailer and go to that customer so I could spend the night at the dock. The next day I again switched trailer after I was unloaded, and headed to the border, where it took 3 hours to cross. I'm not sure what caused the delay, the backup itself wasn't all that long.
The rest of the driving went quite well. I'm heading to Laredo through a route I've never taken before, I'm curious as to how it will go, and I'll drive by Roswell, NM for the first time, maybe I'll see flying saucers.
This morning I woke up at 3am. I don't know why, but it's almost becoming habitual that I'll wake up before my alarm on my reset day. Back when I played Minecraft it was because I just couldn't wait to play it again, but now days I don't know why I don't just turn over and fall back asleep.
So I watched "The last Witchhunter". I bought it because of, well, lets be honest here, Vin Diesel. I won't say he's a great actor, but he certainly is easy on the eyes. I don't think I'll ever get enough of looking at him.
The story is about a man who in the process of killed a witch queen was cursed with immortality, and then turned into a weapon against witches, although as we find out when the movie opens in the present, he's a rather compassionate weapon. He needs to deal with the return of the witch queen, and betrayals all around. It's a fun action flick that will certainly appeal to fans of Vin and those who like contemporary fantasy. The visuals are quite nice, even the monstrous ones.
Overall I'd say it's worth buying the DVD on discount.
On to the writing.
Missing Son got 3 chapters. And we have passed the holidays. With the expected end of the story being in March, we are in the last stretch, and I expect that the explicit sex will be starting soon.

I said I'd have a cover for you, and as you'll see with the attachment, I do.
Not only that, but I have sent the novel to the vendors. They are being processed, I hope, and I should get the links to where it can be purchased soon. And the Patrons at the 10$+ level, you'll be getting a message with a link to where you can download the novel.
No, that doesn't mean the terror is gone, but at least I've bitten the bullet, and I can hopefully move on to the next book
With that, I'll see you next week
