Home for the day (Patreon)

I'm not home often enough to warrant getting an actual bed, and since my room is basically the office, there isn't room for more than a chair that folds out into a cot. But that's going to change. one of the housemate, who was using the basement for his room has left, so the next time I'm home for more than one day I'm going to clean it up and take it back.
I plan on turning it into my bedroom, I love sleeping in a basement (it's the tiger in me who loves an underground den) and into my writing space. It will probably take a few years to set everything up properly, unless I find myself home full time, in which case I'll have to set thing up quickly so I can get to writing full time.
Otherwise it was an uneventful week, work wise.
This week I saw Zootopia, an animated buddy cop movie set in a world where humans never evolved, and instead all animals evolved sentience. The story is about Judy, the first bunny police officer as she tries to prove her worth to the rest of the force.
It's a fun movie clearly created for a younger audience, but with enough intellectual appeal that adults will enjoy it too. The comedy isn't overwhelming, it simply give a good balance to the drama.
When I came out of the theater I was all ready to give the movie a glowing review, proclaiming it to be the best movie of the year... Unfortunately for it, that was Monday evening, and I write this review Sunday evening. That gave me a week to think about the movie. That's a week behind the wheel without much else to think about. and the more I thought about the movie, the more I realized there was some problems with the story.
It's still an entertaining movie, don't get me wrong, but, without giving spoilers, Judy gets some clues to the over all mystery in ways that don't quite work if you pay attention. And as a writer, I have to say that ended up bugging me a fair bit.
In the end I'd say that if you have kids, it's worth paying full admission price, but if you're only goign for yourself, You might want to wait until it's out on DVD.
On to the writing.
I finished part 2 of Dietrich's loss, and accidentally saved it over the part I'd linked to in a previous post, so if you click the link don't be surprise that it is the whole part and not just the extra stuff, like I normally do.

On the editing side, More 2nd draft of The Society.
Part 7

My beta reader read the changes I made to Wasteful death and approves, so now I just have to clean up how it links to the part after and I can send it to be edited.
And I still haven't decided what new story I'll work on.
And this is all for this week, I'm off to bed. see you next week
