NarDec's plans for 2024 & 2025 (Patreon)

We’re coming up to the end of 2024, and I wanted to go over our plans for the rest of the year, some updates we’re making, along with what we’re planning for 2025.

Reflecting on 2024

In hindsight, 2024 has been amazing. You all have been supporting us throughout the years, and now with those joining us for the Kingmaker campaign on Patreon, you have been able to push a lot of things forward for us. Due to that continued support, we’re adjusting our budget for next year to increase pay for our artists, bring some additional help on board, and help compensate our players more for bringing in the funnies.

You all are helping out the crew in so many ways, so thank you!

November Plans

For the rest of November, the plan is to stay on course with finishing up the second adventure in the Litanies of the Lost series. Once this arc is done, we will ask the players if they wish to continue in January and finish the third adventure.

December Plans

In December, we will be taking our annual month-long holiday break. This is something we’ve done every year, and it gives us time to relax, enjoy the holidays, and take a breather. So there will be no streams during this time, but we will still be releasing episodes bi-weekly that are left in the hopper.

But we want to do something for those who can’t afford the Patreon or a sub on our other platforms, especially those who want to see more of the episodes of Kingmaker. We will be releasing episodes two, three, and four for free on YouTube. We still have no plans to release the entirety of Kingmaker for free, but for the holidays, we’d like to make the prologue of the Kingmaker campaign available for those who want more. The prologue episodes of Kingmaker will be released weekly through December.

In addition, we will be running a sale in December for those wanting to see the rest of Kingmaker or read our PDFs. More info on that will be revealed the closer we get to December.

Rebranding Kingmaker

Our branding for Kingmaker is shifting. While we use “Kingmaker” to tell folks what campaign we’re running, as it’s the name of the adventure, we can’t fully commit to the name for branding/legal reasons. We tried to think of a name, and usually it comes naturally to us before we publish the shows, but we struggled a bit on this one. UNTIL NOW!

We thought for a bit, and we remembered how we described our group at the beginning of the show: a band/group of eclectics. We thought that word fit perfectly for our Kingmaker campaign. So from now on, you’ll probably see the branding change from just “Kingmaker” to “The Eclectics.”

Plans for 2025

Rotgrind is returning in February 2025! We don’t want to promise an exact date and time just yet, as delays may happen depending on how pre-production goes, but we’re excited to bring the final and fourth season to our epic adventure!

Yes, this will be the final season of Rotgrind. We suspect this conclusion will take us a year and some months to complete if everything goes according to plan.

As for what comes after, it is still up in the air, but production in the world of Rotgrind won’t be ending. Currently, interest in playing Starfinder Second Edition under the name “Star Rot” has the most interest within the group, but we will see how we feel once we conclude our heroes' journey. As always, we will keep you updated, but don’t fret—the world of Rotgrind is our passion, and we hope to grow it with all of you.

Starfinder and Alien RPG

We have plans to test out some Starfinder Second Edition later in 2025 with a short adventure of about three episodes.

Additionally, we also want to play the Alien RPG! We’re planning a single one-shot adventure for 2025.

The Return of Animatics

Thanks to your support, we can finally budget funds to commission animators/animatic artists to animate the funny moments from our various campaigns. This is something we had going in the past, but as life goes on, so do our artist's opportunities & commitments!

We've asked several artists to tolerate our insanity, and we're excited for you all to see what they draw up.

Website Upgrade

Our website currently needs a do-over. We’d like to integrate our Google Calendar schedule to the website to keep things up to date and restructure the website to make it easier to maintain, but also help direct folks to our content easier. So if you notice weird things with narrativedeclaration.com, hopefully this lets you know why!

GenCon 2025

Me (Zoran) and OnCallGM will be at GenCon 2025! I will mostly be there to hang out with OnCallGM, but we’d love to coordinate a meet & greet so you can come say hi to me and OnCallGm. To either ask us about Rotgrind, other shows, Starfinder, and more! Let us know in the comments down below if you’d like to come say hi!

We want to do a lot in 2025. With Rotgrind returning, Kingmaker moving along, several one-shot adventures planned, and the desire to do more. We're itching to play other games (like Lancer), and delve into so many things. But, we're only human with only so much time on our hands.

Here is hoping for happier times with good friends, good food, and good games in 2025 and beyond with all of you!
