Rotgrind Bestiary: Sawsoarer (Patreon)

HOOT HOOT!

Hey folks! Today should be the release of one of our Episode Bestiaries, but we haven’t had enough new rules material that hasn’t already shown up here on the Patreon (since the pick spiders and candlebacked were already released here!). Don’t fret, the upcoming story beats for the show have a ton of new content that we’re going to be providing here on the Patreon. This includes a pretty dynamic 3-level map, as well as several new NPCs and critters with accompanying art and tokens.

OK, I lied. There was one new monster… that adorable frogmouth owl creature known as the sawsoarer.

Since we didn’t want to release an episode bestiary with just one creature, I figured “what the hell” and wrote some narrative behind these lovely (read: terrible) fey creatures who harass passersby with their vitriolic words. Though we won’t always get you full bestiary write-ups for monsters, I thought expanding the sawsoarer as a treat for everyone was the least I could do to provide some additional content here. Also, those little critters are adorable and it was a joy to write about them.

Expect a ton of content in the near future though. On top of the episode content, there’s also more new monsters on the way. There’s several full length articles that we’re in the process of getting wrapped up. Oh, and there’s a special treat coming sooner than you may think…
