What an episode wow

PS. Sorry I barely uploaded this past week after my trip to Winnipeg. I had some auditions pop up and they were kinda stressful ones 😅

It's not fair for fuko to get a lower score than sarang just because "she's consistently good" vs sarang who they said keep getting out of tune but atleast she "improved"? Because if that's the case, then what's the point of being consistently good at doing your job when someone who still made a mistake but just improved a little could get better grades than you who does your job perfectly? You're right about sarang's storyline. She's definitely the favorite.

NAME

You’d think they’d want someone ready to debut and yet someone who made mistakes on stage twice in a row (which the producers pointed out at the beginning of part 2 that “no mistakes would be allowed in part 2") scored higher than other girls who made no mistakes and performed like their lives depended on it because “her attitude was good and she still improved”. Like how is fuko being consistent a bad thing?? 😭 Knowing an idol you love is always going to put on an enjoyable performance is part of what makes you like them so much, you don’t have to be nervous that they’ll mess something up because you trust their skills. that’s been fuko this entire time but they made it out to be this downside bc they keep putting her in bright bubbly concepts and somehow it’s her fault for not “wowing” them or doing something different when THEY were the ones who made the decision to have her be in the same kind of stuff all the time, not her.

I have trouble getting into Jungeun's performances too. I am not a pro, but I feel like she needs more work in the emotions. Looking forward to her growth since I loved her voice!

I agree with you 100% about Sarang. I felt the same way when this was originally aired. I think Saebi did better than Sarang and there is no way Sarang should have been in the top 6. There is no way that Fuko should have scored lower than Sarang with the audience either. Fuko is an all arounder and Sarang is not. Sarang should have been in the main dancer group and Saebi should have been in the all-rounder group

For me jungeun is like an frame and jiyoon is an painting I have it from "yuri on ice" if somebody knows that Show And no not in any Bad way

Shay

I think the song just does not suit Jungeun and it caters more to Jiyoon's singing style. Jungeun seems to do better in pop/kpop songs and has trouble emoting in r&b, which needs the emotions and sentiment that Jiyoon voice has.

OMG Jeemin ??? On previous video I said I don't get the hype around her, but now...girl... WOW she stole the show 🙏 , she's a total star quality. I agree with the producers this is what I wanted from her in part 1, she killed this concept!! LOVE 💓

Sabi

Hear me out, I think they are rigging the votes and pushing a narrative here only so they can make a twist later on and make it entertaining. I think that's why they keep pushing some of the girls at the top even though some girls with the lover rank did better and we all know it. I guess they do this so the final group lineup is not spoiled. But we all pretty much know who did the best even through their weird editing.

the producers 😭 they want fuko to show something new but they were the ones that chose the last and this test for her, both similar concept like choose a different genre for her then jeez

The song choices of this round is honestly one of the best in all survival shows I've seen. Four wall was truly so much ahead of it's time in terms of song and dance. Spicy solidified Koko being a main dancer material (part 1 mission dances didn't do her justice). If I Were a Boy showed the clash and harmony between 2 very different vocal style. Jiyoon has a soulful/western vocalization while Jungeun has a very much pop/trendy sound that will go very well with a lot of song genres. I think the reason she is bit strained is because she is trying to add more roundness to her high note to adapt to the western style high note. She usually does the typical kpop high note has more clearness and sharpness. Money showcased Jeemin's star power and I honestly think Saebi did great. Just want to also mention some other girls' popularity as of the current stage of the show. Mai has a core fandom but weren't as strong, Sarang is one of the few girls that is very much liked by the chinese fans, Fuko is well-liked by most of the fandom but core fandom is also not very strong.

Hana

One more thing I want to note is that it's so interesting that because Jungeun is so capable of both singing and dancing that mnet is not treating as if she isn't literally one of the youngest contestants on the show. Like where are the baby sound effects they love to put on young contestants on other mnet survival shows (just kidding of course). Kind of shows the power of editing because 2 contestants both very young yet if only one gets constant baby treatments even the fandom themselves would start to treat two youngster differently.

Honestly the judges we’re not doing Sarang a favor by putting her so high despite her mistakes. She is a good singer and dancer, but if you mess up you mess up and you need to realize It to get better. How is Sarang supposed to grow and learn from her failures if the judges keep protecting her? Weird behavior from them fr

I disagree with Jeff a bit about the foreign language thing with the vocal unit. They don’t have any choreo. 12 hours to learn 2 mins of English is not crazy. It’s a well known song, they have the lyrics with them. Ppl can sing Korean with 0 Korean and the writing is even harder to follow. They know English enough to read and at least write down pronunciation in their own language to sing along. Come on. If you listen to a song non stop and dissecting and memorizing each lines for 12 hours non stop. You will remember it. Esp when it’s English, something they do know enough of. Yeah they’re not fluent but basic Korean school education will at least get them to the point where they can be reminded of how it sung by the way it’s written. I used to completely learn songs in English without h knowing English at all. I had no idea what it meant but I printed lyrics and note how it’s pronounced. If me at 12 something yo can do it, these girls can too. Missing one or two lines are fine but basically mumble through the whole thing? Did they even sing once without the lyrics in front of them? Like this is something they should get criticized by the judges properly so they know they’re not paying attention to the right thing. Their petty little drama is also keeping them from practicing together and if you don’t sing the words out loud a few times without the print out you don’t remember it. Kinda like marking a dance with the mirror the whole time. Vocal unit is its own thing for a reason. Like get that technicality down with the lyrics so you can even focus on little details and dynamics. But if you spent 12 hours and can’t remember more than the first 3 lines in the chorus then….

I disagree to Jeff about Sarang thing, because I don't think that there's a misjudged about Sarang and Fuko's performance. Base in producers choice, it is an "All Rounder Unit" so the crack thing is not the only thing you need to judged because it's not a "Vocal Unit", so for me you need to validate the dance and facial expressions as well which is Sarang did a good job than Fuko base on the edit, and it is still alright cause the gap on producers score has only 2 points difficiency. Maybe if it is a wide difference then for me that Jeff's reasons is valid. That's all and It is only my opinion too😅.

Sabi

I agree with you. I love when Sarang is performing she's never boring to watch, one of my faves for sure.
