so mad cuz zihao still not being given screentime despite choreographing some of the parts to make supercharger perf better in 3 days, n he teaches the trainees too despite being busy for his mnet law mcd perf, all tht effort put in n still got cut off from screen.

WARNING: Angry Rant Regarding Sung Hanbin. I fucking hate how Mnet is treating Sung Hanbin on Boys Planet. Especially when it comes to his skills. They never highlight his dancing, singing, performing, etc. skills. His whole screentime & storyline is always his relationship with other trainees, especially Matthew and zhanghao. Which I liked at first cause I love seeing beautiful friendships & I liked seeing them in the 1st few episodes. It showed what kind of person he is & that’s amazing. But at this point, it’s just so disrespectful to Sung Hanbin as a person & a trainee. They never show the masters compliment Sung Hanbin’s professional skills. The only time they really highlighted his skills was in ep 1 during his audition, that’s it. Sung Hanbin is a literal professional street dancer who’s been in dance groups, dance competitions, doing street dance battles, & has been a dance instructor. He’s been training vocally as well during university. But his whole screentime is always used to highlight other trainees. Like i don’t give a crap anymore abt dramas, I’m not here to watch relationships, I’m here to watch talents. And these trainees, especially Sung Hanbin, is too fucking talented to just be used as some kind of kdrama material. I’m getting tired of Mnet always using him as clickbait and just a stepping stone to show other trainees’ struggles/talents. Some of you may think I sound petty since he’s really popular and n1, but I think he deserves to be able to show off his skills. I want to see the mentors, trainees, and even the viewers to talk abt Sung Hanbin’s professional skills cause it deserves to be applauded and talked abt as well. One of the things that Mnet did that still pisses me off to this day is the fact that they released a short clip/preview of the dance battle between Sung Hanbin and Haruto that should’ve been included in that ep. They literally showed a clip of them in a dance battle and it looked really amazing, but never showed it in the actual ep. We could’ve seen an amazing dance battle between Haruto and sung Hanbin, who are pro dancers, but mnet didn’t show that for some fucking reason. I just think that it’s so disrespectful to Sung Hanbin. Again, I know that some trainees don’t even get any screentime at all so you guys can call me petty. But I just want people to really appreciate and notice how talented and skilled Sung Hanbin is and not just focus on his relationships with other trainees. As far as I know, I’m not watching a kdrama. Also, this was literally the first time he got the main vocal part but they didn’t even show that process at all. It’s just frustrating. COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC EP: This was such a shitty ep. And it’s not cause of the trainees, or the fun or the family. It’s literally because of the editing itself. It’s so all over the place and looks like it was made by an amateur. Mnet has so much money and they waste it on an editor and maybe even producer who doesn’t know how to do their job. This ep would’ve been better if they showed all the performance/bts, then put the fun/games and family segment for ep 10. I think that the family fun segment deserves its own ep. I couldn’t even enjoy that segment because the editing was cringy and all over the place. The only reason I stayed to watch the livestream is to see the smn team reconcile. But other than that, I couldn’t even enjoy the ep because of how wonky the editing is, Mnet and the editing is literally what ruined the ep. Thank god the ep flopped in ratings so Mnet will realize their mistake and hire better people to do a better job and see that we’re tired of dramas. There’s literally only 3 ep left, they better get their shit together. Sorry for sounding so aggressive lol. This ep just pissed me off so much, it’s not cause of the trainees at all. It’s Mnet and the editing itself.

I understand where you're coming from with Matthew, but it should be said that Jiwoong and Hanbin handled it well. Yes they wanted to switch the part but I don't think it was at all disrespectful to Matthew, they were clear about putting the team first from the beginning. Matthew was admittedly quite selfish here. I'd also like to add that mnet has used Sung Hanbin as the cliffhanger for EVERY performance just to give highlight to other members at the end. They don't show the mentors complimenting him or showcase his skills, but rather his relationships, and it's getting OLD.

I totally agree the switch between Matthew and Seung eon was necessary because me a non professional could hear it while they sang. I thought wouldn't it be better if they switched part and when they did it was obvious how better it sounded for everyone involved. So I can understand Matthew being sad but it was for the best any way you look at it. I hope we get to see next week how Matthew resolved his sadnesss over this because in the next clips he seemed in very good terms with his hyungs. Now what really made me angry and it was not evil editing, just facts, is Jongwoo being booted out of his team. He's a great leader, he brings a lot of ideas, an all rounder and they did that! I was so sad for him and mad at the Over Me team, they better produce a perfect stage because my vote is not going to any of them until I see that. And I voted for Jay since day one.

For the part switching in say my name I also think they made the right choice in giving seungeon sub vocal 1 and Matthew sub vocal 2, I think they both shine a lot more in those parts (based on the dance practice, it’s definitely not just Matthew walking by and then you don’t pay attention to him, he has great parts that show of his character well like hanbin and Jiwoong said). In this situation no one’s in the wrong in my opinion. I understand Matthews point and feelings and I understand where Jiwoong and hanbin come from, it’s really just a matter of preference and deciding what’s best for the team.

So just to give a quick clarification regarding Lee jeonghyeon's part in over me - they intended to keep his rap part all along, but the subvocal 2 position ALSO has a chorus section, so he needed to be able to rap AND sing the part, hence why they checked his singing skills before confirming his position. Imo a great decision and one that SMN would probably have benefited from as it'd have avoided the whole kerfuffle (I've got more complex thoughts on that but will save the lengthy comment once I've watched the whole reaction)

1. Super charger was not my favorite performance. I think that sadly the whole song didn't suit them very well and I think it's not because they can't do it but rather the time was too short. As you have said, for a comeback or even for the debut they train for months with the expressions and manners to suit the theme of the song. I think if they had more time their facial expressions and details would have been better. For me Haruto did a great job but Wang Zihao killed it. This kind of music is where he can show us more of his skills. Anyways they did a great job despite the short time. 2. With En Garde Choi Young Jun scolded the guys by saying 나태 -> in korean means laziness. At this point I think Choi Young Jun would want them to be at a almost debut quality so maybe that's why he was disappointed. After they have had performed for 3 times (also some went to the Mcount) maybe the performance was not bad but a little mediocre. This is what I get from the korean context and some of the translations were not completely correct. But at the end they made a great performance. It seems that GyuVin is a performer that you have to watch him live. As an example J-hope is a great performer but in the music videos and dance practices other members get more attention but in the concert and live stages J-hope gets to shine more and his skills show more. Seung Hwan's vocals were chef's kiss. I didn't know he can sing like that. 3. The whole thing with SMN group is just understandable. Hanbin said he was at fault for not having them sing the parts and I am with him on that. For me I also think that the sub-vocal 1 sounded better with SeungEon but I also get Matthew being upset and not wanting to change. Some people may say that Matthew is selfish but at this point I think Matthew wants a part that can really make his wow moment. He has constantly been wanting a part and not getting it so I get him on being wanting not to change at all. I think as a sweetheart he is he will make the right decision so no hate on him. Hanbin and Jiwoong were really good and not pushing Matthew too much and trying to persuade him. At last I hate Mnet for yet another split performance. Like this episode could have been better if they didn't stretch everything so much. Like god there were only 5 performances and making 2 episodes is so bad .

I mean that's what mnet usually does but this episode is just extreme. They even try to make drama out of stuff that really isn't anywhere near being bad. Like the internim performance for En Garde. The whole dance and vocals seemed totally fine for me but the reaction was like they couldn't have done any worse if they tried. I get that mentors are supposed to exaggerate their opinions but do they also realize that how they act on the show could have actual consequences for their own careers? If I was a CEO and saw my potential teachers acting the way some of them do on here, I would be deterred from even hiring them. Now I guess since most of them have already made a name for themselves the chance of that happening are slim but still... The performances I think however are on a whole nother level. If the remaining 3 performances are on the same level, I think this could be the strongest artist stages in produce/planet history. I love all of the songs and I think like 90% of the trainees that remain deserve to debut, which I have never really felt like during produce/planet shows at this point. Also Seunghhwan... I swear when I watched the live stream and the prank segment happened with Gunwook I was ready to slaughter somebody because I didn't get that it's a joke. I already saw Seunghwan dropping to like last place lmfao. But turns out he knew how to get screen time on this show since they clearly don't value showing off talents as much as showing drama so that's what he did lol. I respect that tbh. The whole parents segment was incredibly cute but should've been its own episode with other variety stuff for episode 10 and they should've had all performances on episode 9. The editing this episode was absolutely horrendous.

For the En Garde Team segment, I'm certain they did just fine if not great in the practice, but I'm almost convinced the producers lowkey pushed this narrative of them being lax because they were pissed that they were late that day (which, valid, I definitely think they shouldn't have been late to respect the time of the production crew too). If they were plainly "just fine" as pushed by Choi Youngjoon, then okay, I understand the critique of not making the song unique to them, but yeah, maybe it's the conspiracy theorist in me, lmao

As for the Say My Name drama, if you take out the editing, I'll say that no one is really in the wrong, there. I have to respectfully disagree, I actually think Hanbin and Jiwoong had a point because I feel that while Matthew sounds great with his naturally sweeter tone in that higher register, I also think he hasn't quite nailed the exact... vibe? The exact... pitch? I'm not sure, but I felt more inclined to agree with the two of them in that moment. I also can't even blame Seung Eon for relenting the SV1 spot, Matthew does sound great there, but I would have to agree overall with the opinion that if switched, I think the team would benefit from it more. You also mentioned that Seung Eon's adlibs could serve the team better if he stayed SV2, and I do fully understand that, but it could also run the risk of feeling off, especially if the song is very light-hearted and easygoing that it wouldn't actually [need] all of the extra bits and flourishes. Evil / wonky editing aside, I thought everyone was actually well within their rights to act the way they all acted there. No one was wrong, and no one person was right; I do have to sympathize with Matthew, but I also pragmatically understand why Hanbin and Jiwoong brought it up a tad later than intended.

Also, without bias, I can see why people could actually compare Matthew's dilemma with that of Daeul's (in Danger), Krystian's (in Back Door), and Ma Jing Xiang's (in Over Me). Definitely not a dissimilar situation to the others by any means, and opinions may vary on who had the most valid reasons among them, but I just have to bring it up: Krystian and Ma Jing Xiang were edited more negatively compared to Daeul and now Matthew, and I have to wonder if part of that is Mnet's own biases toward Koreans / public favorites. (As always, if there is biased editing present, not the trainees' fault.)

And finally (sorry for the spam, I, too, have BP brainrot at this point, LMAO), as a media student who literally studies programming, editing, and how shows like these are put together, this episode - as a reality television product - makes very little narrative sense in the grand scheme of things. One could argue they're trying to purposely inject drama into the show, but what that tells me is Mnet has a very poor understanding of their target audiences. Almost no one who watches a survival program CARES about the drama, and while one could again argue "all publicity is good publicity," I wouldn't want my television program being clowned on by the general GLOBAL audience for having poor, uninformed editing choices. The simple fix, especially with just FIVE performances and respective training segments, would've been to have all of them down the line in this single episode. Order it from least to most "dramatic," sure, but that would've worked so much better. While the games and family segment was very heartwarming, it felt so shoehorned in this episode. It would've been so much better to have all of the performances in this episode, release the songs for streaming right after, then next episode would've been the third survival announcement with the appropriate family segment to fill the time! The programming decisions in this home stretch definitely baffles me, to say the least.

I really think Choi Young Joon and Baek Koo Young are being instructed by producers to be harsher or they themselves are trying to self produce to be more relevant/famous or have one of those iconic TV moments. Compared to earlier this season the severity of their comments have gotten worse and it’s so obvious their just trying to say meaner things get themselves screen time. I think after Baek had his “have you only been performing Kick It” meme CYJ is been atrocious as a mentor. I mean how many different ways can you say to trainees that they’re “crazy” or “lost their minds.” He says a bunch of stuff that don’t make any contextual sense to make sure he gets his time on TV. Unfortunately I think that’s why CYJ and Baek come off incredibly inauthentic in comparison to other masters. Also compared to their time as mentors for Produce 48, X1 and Girls Planet it’s like we’re watching completely different mentors. PH1 said on a Dive Studios podcast that he realized the only way masters can get screen time is if they exaggerate their reactions while filming. I’m sure that’s why we barely see Solji and Lip J in a mentoring setting cuz they’re not putting on the “scary master” act.

So I want to preface this comment by saying: I'm disappointed so many people get so ANGRY at trainees getting voted out of their teams. Like you can be disappointed, of course, but to get seriously angry and resentful at the trainees is very shortsighted to me Look, ultimately, this entire thing is mnet's fault for setting up this situation. They WANT us to react angrily and defensively, because it creates drama and buzz for them. There's no need for this setup at all - the teams could easily have been given their mission songs after the second eliminations. They made a bed and the trainees are the ones who have to lie in it. Someone, multiple someones, would always have to be kicked out of the group. And no matter who it was, people would get angry. People are angry Seowon and Woongki were kicked out of SMN? People would be just as furious if say Jiwoong or Yujin were kicked out. Saying they don't fit the vibe and stuff - they haven't even been given an opportunity to show it off? And trying alternate concepts is what this stage is MADE for. Same thing with Jongwoo - if say Jay had been kicked out instead, people would have been just as angry too. And if the only person you can imagine being kicked out is say a lower ranked trainee who has had barely any screen time (I've seen lots of people say Lee jeonghyeon should be kicked out instead), then you're also falling into the same cliquish arguments that you're accusing the trainees of. We don't know what happened in that week of training, we don't know what the trainees know of each other's skills and their ability to fit into the concept, we don't know a lot. So, feel free to feel disappointed that your pick didn't get to perform their first choice song, that's only natural, but stop the vehement anger at the other trainees please. They're being forced to play mnet's game, and there was never any 'winning' in it. This happens literally every season and I'm so done with it Sorry for the longwinded rant, it's just something that's been ticking me off since the episode aired

My thoughts on the main segments of this episode! Re SAY MY NAME So, I think I disagree with you slightly - I don't think Matthew sounded that good on Subvocal 1 - his transitions were not very smooth to me. I think he sounded FANTASTIC on subvocal 2 though, and vice versa for Seungeon. If you watch the dance practice, Matthew's lines are actually one of the highlights of the song to me. Regarding the conflict - I think everyone (except for Yujin, who was just going through his child of divorce era lol) bears some responsibility and fault for what happened here. SHanbin was too passive as a leader. I can't entirely fault him for that, because you can TELL he's afraid of something he says being taken out of context and being evil edited. There's been a constant stream of hate comments and campaigns to try and kick him out of first place, so he's very cautious. However, ultimately, this was to the detriment of the team. The issue could have been avoided entirely if he'd spoken about his concerns early on. Seungeon lacked the confidence to push for the parts he wanted. It makes sense - as we've seen from previous seasons, a lower ranked trainee pushing for parts against popular contestants has often been portrayed very negatively. However, by voluntarily conceding subvocal 1 to Matthew, it also put Shanbin in a difficult spot - insisting he try now would look pretty bad, especially since Shanbin had just accepted Main Vocal under similar circumstances. Jiwoong, I think, handled this the best. He spoke up when he felt like he needed to speak up, after realizing Shanbin was struggling to do so, and was blunt but kind about it imo. Honestly, I wish he had been leader of this team because I think everything would have been avoided if he had. Matthew was understandably blindsided - he felt secure in the position but had the rug pulled out from under his feet. However, in his hurt I think he lashed out quite poorly. I don't think being hurt can quite justify some of the things he said - they came off as quite passive aggressive and rude. My ultimate opinion on Matthew is that he's a really nice and sweet guy - but he really needs more media training. He's very easily baited by the interviewers and doesn't always think through how he comes off on camera. That's problematic on a survival show, but it's also a real concern once he debuts. It's definitely something he can learn though, so I don't hold it against him. Ultimately, this was simply the result of a bunch of miscommunications resulting in a disagreement. What we need to remember is that every person has their own strengths and flaws, and we as audiences have different biases and life experiences which influence how we perceive their actions. As someone conflict avoidant, I found myself sympathising more with Shanbin in this disagreement. Also, as someone who grew up in East Asia, I found Matthew's comments rude - but someone who grew up in North America might find it perfectly normal. Conflict resolution is difficult. I'm certainly not perfect. I had a crying fit when talking with my boss just last year because I felt like I wasn't being heard. People in their 60s and beyond can be absolutely terrible at communicating effectively too. The contestants are all young people under an immensely stressful environment. They have room to grow. It's a lifelong journey for all of us. Re SUPERCHARGER I adored Haruto throughout this. I thought he was very wise, level-headed and showed great leadership in this episode. He also absolutely killed it on stage. Also, shoutout to Wang Zihao who performed this song like an absolute King. He suited the song so well. That said, this performance is going to be my biggest what-could-have-been this season I think. They did really well, a solid 8.5/10, but it clearly could have been a 12/10 legendary performance if they'd had more time and weren't absolutely exhausted. Still, absolute kudos to them for pulling off an amazing performance under such terrible conditions. Those tears were well deserved - I'm sure the feelings were absolutely overwhelming after all of that adrenaline. Re EN GARDE Though I think he went overboard by the end, I could understand why Master Baek would be frustrated at the team. We saw in the previous episode that they pretty much had the entire song and choreo down by the end of the first week. So, given the extra time, the fact that they haven't improved from that (which is what I gathered was the crux of the criticism) or elevated the performance in a new way (the criticism about Junhyeon not coming up with new gestures), would certainly be disappointing to me as a master. Further to that, if he had just come back from watching a team like Switch and Supercharger? I'd be quite frustrated too. I'm not sure if them being late happened on the same day, but that couldn't have helped either. However, ultimately, I do think the production team asked him to turn up the heat on the comments, because it did get uncomfortably personal by the end. Regarding Gyuvin winning - I've just come to accept that he must just hit different live. He's won first in Love Killa against Matthew and Jiwoong, who are I would argue clearly more popular than him. He's won first in En Garde, which has several trainees ranking higher than him in the interims. While we may not feel it through the screen, something about his performance must resonate with the live audience. There's certainly a few established idols who I was lukewarm to when on camera, but seeing them live just changed my view on them completely. Gunwook, Hiroto and Seunghwan were my personal standouts in this performance. Most surprising was Hiroto, because I'd literally never noticed him before but here he came for my neck.

Btw, from what I've heard, from the time they had their new fixed teams they only have total of 3 DAYS left to the actual show. That's a short time! especially for teams like Super Charger and Switch. I'm so stressed with this episode, thankfully we still got some touching moments here with the guerilla showcase and the games. Mnet is working extra hard with these evil edits and I'm so pissed! I hope we got some good scenes for the next episode. I'm looking forward to see the remaining teams. So far, I've been liking all the songss. I like Super Charger pre-chorus soooo much! En Garde was so grand and I loved it! Over me is still my top 1 but I'll wait until after all the official stage performances. 💗 (I've been watching all the dance practices for so many times already can't believe I still have to wait another week before the official release 😂🥲)

the reason they had asked to check lee jeonghyeons singing is because, as well as the rap parts he wrote, vocal 2 also has moments he has to sing, so zhanghao wanted to double check that he could also sing those parts and was surprised that he’s a good singer dancer and rapper ! lots of the people on site said lee jeonghyeon was one of the standouts from all of the teams so i’m sad they didn’t show the over me performance this episode :(

omg youre so right! I didnt really realize that hanbin hasn't really been getting a skill-dedicated edit on his own until you brought it up. I think his creativity edit last challenge (when he was talking about the pressure of maintaining #1) was the closest to it. I also wish they showed his battle T_T as for the ratings dipping this ep, the majority probably are tired of the drama and just wants to focus on the performances. and there were only like 2.5 here and both at the end of the ep.

tbh i understand matthew as i understood other trainees that didn’t want to give up their parts but tbh it was better for the team for him to swap. when seungeon sacrificed main vocal for the better of the team and got vocal 2 he added adlibs to make him stand out so the objective question is why couldn’t matthew sacrifice vocal 1 for the better of the team and then try and improve his new part. but it’s understandable the way that everyone handled things and lots of people said matthew stood out the most in smn anyway so in the end it doesn’t matter what part he got

mnet at it again 🙄 this was the least enjoyable episode for me cuz it felt so unnecessary with the editing. we could’ve had at least one more performance instead of all this “drama”, and i agree with everyone saying the family portion felt awkwardly placed in this episode. with the say my name team, i feel for everyone. i’m glad hanbin acknowledged he should’ve brought it up sooner instead of letting the issue grow. i tend to be like that myself, always trying to be considerate and hesitating to point out certain things, but ultimately that often makes things worse. he was very polite about it, though. similar situation with seungeon. shoutout to jiwoong for handling this the best, i really hope he stays in top 9 cuz he’d be a great leader candidate. with matthew, i empathize with him a lot. from his perspective, he’s been wanting a bigger role but always ends up accepting he’s not the best for the part and thinks about the good of the team. here, he finally got the part he wanted most and thought it was going well (again, no one said anything to him about that until this point). then suddenly they’re asking him to switch parts. i would feel disappointed and a little betrayed too. he was definitely taken off guard and reacted very emotionally. it’s probably harder too cuz hanbin is his best friend. even when you know your friend isn’t trying to be mean, it often hurts more. i can’t blame him for that, his reaction did come across as kinda rude and overly stubborn, but matthew is such a sweet guy. i’m sure he’ll come around and accept it. i wonder if we’ll see jiwoong or hanbin talking to him 1-on-1. i know they’ll resolve it, my main worry is just how this could affect voting (i wonder what the response has been from korean viewers?). i doubt he’ll drop from the top 9 cuz of something like this, but i’m still keeping him in one of my voting rotations 🤞. also, poor yujin lol. the kid’s just watching all this go down

Definitely agree with jiwoong as one of the best candidates for the leader position in the debut lineup, he’s just pure leader material. The other trainees feel really comfortable around him as can be seen in the behind the scenes content but he also knows when to speak up for the sake of the team. It amazes me cause I’m definitely the same as Hanbin, I would hesitate to speak up and make decisions as well :D also yes vote for Haruto!! I vote for him everyday, I need him in the top 9 :,)

That thing with SMN was just sad because it was just a discussion that could've been communicated better by both sides, but Mnet as usual decides to have fun with it and now Matthew's getting torn apart in some Korean forums. It's true that he should've been more objective about it but he's young and inexperienced, and being a bit more straightforward than other trainees, he was the perfect bait for another one of this program's evil edits. He was already getting coined as one of the PD's picks before this too so I just feel bad for him. 😓 I also heard that his family wasn't even contacted at all for the guerilla event so that just makes me even more upset.

I’d also like to add that it’s completely worth it to watch all the dance practices. And for “easier” like songs like Say My Name, when you watch the dance practice, it’s actually quite complicated. There’s tons of details in their moves that are difficult and it’s pretty all abt grooves. It seems that those who worked on the song/dance have worked with svt before, so the say my name is actually quite svt coded lol Say My Name may look and sound easy, but it’s quite intricate and difficult.

I don’t think matthew didn’t want to not sacrifice vocal 1 for the better of the team? for the past missions matthew has been doing he always sacrificed the parts he wanted. both in kill this love and love killa, he wasn’t able to get the parts he wanted and gave them up for the sake of the team - i.e in love killa with the killing part. this was the only time he chose to be kind of selfish rightfully so. why rightfully so? because seungeon didn’t even want the part during the re-distribution, which probably made matthew think that the part wasn’t going to be taken away from him. the part was stripped off of him suddenly, and with me personally I’d feel extremely disappointed especially if I had a part from the beginning of the team’s formation (with 10 members) until the end, even when the number of members was narrowed down to 5 & it was suddenly taken away - no blame to the team members though. & personally I do empathize with him a lot and feel bad for him, especially considering the fact that mnet is actively targeting him - his family wasn’t even contacted for the guerilla event. but admitted, he didn’t know how to express it well since I’d say he’s kind of too straightforward for his own good. sorry for the rant 😭

as a hui one pick i wish mnet included more of what en garde team said afterwards... the on site fanaccounts said all the members kept talking about how hard hui worked leading the team, and that he was also in charge of the 작업 (working on the song, so he probably did song and part arrangements, vocal directing, etc). but instead mnet set up an unnecessary dramatic situation 😭 about matthew, i think people are being dramatic about it. him and the chinese trainees that were edited poorly before are all just ambitious because this is a survival competition, you can disagree with them but its crazy how much hate matthew is getting for this... the fact that hes NOT being evil edited is working against him now since its making bp fans hate him even more lol. really weird how much anger is directed towards him for this issue by international fans considering how much they defended shuaibo just last mission and lied about mistranslations.

not sure if someone commented this already, but its mentioned by a few korean fans that the trainees that got pushed out only had about 3 days-ish of training, if you're considering their other activities like - recruiting new members - meeting with producers again - memorising lyrics - re-recording the studio ver. of the song - field day recording/filming (where they were playing games and everything was said to take up alot of time to prep and film) - 2 members had to practice and prepare for their mcountdown stage as well - concept shoot and just other filming in general..this means the whole team of supercharger basically only had around 3 days to pull off what they did on stage and apparently haruto also practiced until 5am alot of the time...and hes usually the trainee that sleeps the earliest😿

another thing regarding the dance masters, or masters feedback in general, is that, people are saying that the masternims could be evil edited as well. because earlier in the show where master baek kooyoung was apparently constantly bashing on yujin's dancing/slow learning curve, saying that his son can probably dance better than yujin...i saw somewhere that master kooyoung was insinuating that the situation was made even more exaggerated by mnet than it actually was...this really shows that no one is actually safe from mnet's evil editing💀💀

If some of you are wondering why Ricky has such a strong fanbase I would recommend watching his fancams! Unfortunatly imo in the past he was put in teams where the members didn't quite match each other and had to perform songs that didn't really fit him the best. But if you watch him individually, he's quite amazing at dance and with his facial expressions. He also couln't showcase his singing a lot but his fans spread his predebut videos where his vocals are heard and he's really good. In my opinion Ricky isn't high because of his screentime because the only times we really see him is when he reacts or has his team evil edited, he also didn't get a narrative once in the show, I think his fans and his talent did most of the work personally.

i totally agree with jiwoong and hanbin for wanting to switch matthew's sub vocal part out. it sounded so much better when they ran through it and matthew sung vocal 2, for me the vocal 1 sounded slightly too high for matthew's vocal register and while it wasn't completely off or noticeable seongeon doing the lower register for vocal 2 stood out bcs it is too low for his range. i understand why matthew was sad and can sympathize with it but all in all in my personal opinion he was being a little selfish. jiwoong explained kindly and straight forward why they needed the change and the change absolutely benefits the both of them. a lot of what matthew was saying to me was rather personal like he said himself and not really for the team.

im honestly so pissed off the mnet made seunghwan look so tardy like they didn’t also show the fact he was ill two minutes later and that he was teaching his group. that kid is an absolute beast as a leader, he was incredible on u19 leading his team to do one of the most incredible “her” covers as a teenager. his arc has been so strange on this show. even when he’s won and doing well everyone was talking about something else (jiwoong, daeul + junhyeon)

I get where Matthew is coming from but his desire for sub vocalist 1 would have been more good for himself than for the group. In that regard, I think he was being a little selfish. Which isn't wrong in itself but isn't a great look when you're organizing a group performance. He might not have gotten angry at the rest of the group but his reaction and disbelief around the situation was uncomfortable to watch and kind of passive aggressive toward the rest of the group. I think he is a nice guy but his emotions got the best of him here. Also Seunghwan always does well dancing but first time I noticed his singing!

Ahhhh I'm honestly tired of you saying the coaches/teachers just come there to scold the trainees, like you know they did not even show us half of what happened there, that's just clips because the time is short they couldn't possibly show us everything. I'm sure they taught them, It was just not shown and got edited out cuz of the time restraint. You're nearly at the end of the show and i'm quite shocked how you're so slow and still haven't figured that out.
