Surprise bonus! Martina's analysis of Junho's Enneagram type! (Patreon)

As you guys know, Martina's a trained psychology professional who happens to also have a lot of Junho love, so this is what happens when you mash the two together. 😁

When Martina told me that she was doing an Enneagram type analysis for Junho, just for fun, I asked her if she could share it here, with all the other Junho fans in our midst, and Martina has kindly agreed!

Her caveat, of course, is that she could be wrong, since this is an analysis done from afar, without full information. So, take this with a pinch of salt, and use your own judgment and discretion, to see if Martina's analysis holds, over time.

Junho is a rather generous idol in showing flashes of his true self, every time I've seen him, I've seemed to sense a vibrant personality that illuminates his charisma.

Enneagram identifies nine personality archetypes, each of these has three subtypes for a total of 27 personality types.

I think Junho belongs to the archetype point 2, subtype self- preservation (it should not be understood literally): in short: Self-preservation two. The Hearth (emotions and feelings) is the core of this type of personality.

Type Two represents the archetype of the person who seeks to please others as a way to evoke affection. This type mirrors the Jungian concept of the “anima”, or the inner feminine: “the glamorous, moody and sentimental seductress”. It is a quality of the psyche that has nothing to do with gender or sexual identity and express receptivity, softness and openness to the others”. in males it shows itself as a wide range of expressiveness that is reflected both in movement, in mimicry and in the expression of emotions, and that goes from a more masculine charm to a softer allure, with precise but delicate movements, less rigid and more intense (whoever has seen Junho's performances as a dancer knows what I'm talking about: watch a video in which he sings and dances with 2PM, even if the others are good dancers, you can see how he has a greater range of expressive possibilities,). In the deep manifestation of the anima we can see the Junho’s divine gift: you can see this even in his voice that has a wide range of tonality (in acting and singing) which certainly has its non-publicly visible counterpart of intimate and emotional expressiveness.

The central passion/virtue in Two Types is Pride/Humility and in the subtype self-preservation is manifested essentially with a humble and modest attitude. He is naturally lovable and aims to attract love and attention through being cute and tends to “read” people and pay attention to their needs and feelings automatically and habitually focuses on managing his own presentation based on what he thinks other people will like. If he ends up putting a lot of energy into meeting others needs they can suppress their own and he can feel a strong pull to hide his own needs in light of threat of disapproval from others.

He manifests his pride in investing energy to do a perfect performance and be a perfectionist in his job until he can become obsessive.

Seductiveness is a central point of inner self and is a way to attract others through charm and generosity. He is not an extroverted character as he might seem and tends to disperse his energies too generously in the service of others to the point of exhaustion. The risk here is denying needs and repressing feelings.

Type two are the romantic ones of Enneagram and look for the one that love them for just existing. They do not easily throw themselves into love relationships, in fact they have an avoidant attitude because they are afraid of not finding someone who loves them just for who they are, beyond what they do (here their pride has a lot to do).

As they grow up in a healthy way he can incorporating Healthy type Eight behaviours like be more bold and assertive to expands the range of ways he can make an impact on others and be more effective in their jobs.
