Another idea for the Melos character. In theory, the entire silhouette for the character should be comprised of big shapes blocked out by color so it may be easily read by the human eye. The detail should then be in service to these large shapes, adding texture and other differences that would make these shapes interesting to look at.

I should leave all that detail to be rendered in 3D rather than in 2D...
