Dell has now changed their turn-around time from 8 business days to 10 business days. They're on pace to miss the new target. As of today they still have not started looking at it yet. I called in, and got another friendly person who tried to be helpful. They've moved it on to the department responsible for delayed repairs, who will contact me in 24 hours.
Take a moment to reflect on the fact that they have a department responsible for contacting people who have delayed repairs. That speaks volumes about the problem. I'm starting to feel sorry for the customer service people who have to deal with this shit show.
