Happy New Year! Werewolf Treats and Updates (Patreon)
Content
Welcome to 2025 y'all! This little guy above I might turn into a shirt or something. I'll keep you posted :3 I really enjoyed the challenge of working with a limited palette and I'll definitely be doing more.
So! Group question: cliche as it is, what crap are you leaving behind in 2024 and what are you bringing in for 2025 for yourself?
For me, 2024 was tough. I lost my day job to AI, and Patreon forced out per-creation billing in place of general monthly subscription (both events significantly dropped my income), lost my Nana, burned out HARD, and ended a major comic arc I had been working on for the last nine years. Taking it easy during the holiday season probably saved me from spiraling down further. Still, I had a lot of fun moments too and the last couple cons have been great, so I can't say 2024 was bad, just tough...
So for 2025, I'm trying to drop this pressure I have on myself to be on a constant upward trajectory. I want to only say yes to projects I actually WANT to do instead of just taking whatever and phoning it in just because I'm scared of further loss. The image above and Waldren's daki, for example, are products of me being actually present and leaning into the joy of the craft, and I hope it shows. I want to carry that into the comics and all other works this year.
This month, I'll be primarily focusing on getting Waldren's daki complete and ready for pre-order, keeping the commission queue moving along, and picking up where I left off on the side comics Curse of the Were-Coop and Springing Back (paid members only til completion). I'm in pre-production for Rail Vol 1, which I'll kick off once it's ready!
Thank you guys for being here and supporting what I do, it means everything to me. Happy New Year! 🥂✨🖤🤍
