did something happen to you?

thanks to everyone who tuned into the new years re4 stream from a day or so back! turns out that game is a lot longer when you play on the highest difficulty without skipping any of the cutscenes and generally being rusty as hell lol, but i had a good time even if it ended up taking almost 10 hours to actually finish (i thought it'd be under 7...). if i do any full game streams like that again they've either gotta be a lot shorter or i've gotta start a lot earlier haha.

anyways, i guess playing resident evil to start things off this year really put me in a survival horror game mood, as the first proper art post of 2023 ended up being this silent hill 2 homage/redraw. id been meaning to play the sh games for forever and finally got around to 1 and 2 last year (they're very good!). without spoiling too much this specific scene really stuck out in my head and i thought it'd be fun to do a redraw of it. kind of like the RE reanimated work i did last year i wanted to mimic the  style/vibe of the original work quite a bit, hence all the visual static and the lower-than-usual export resolution on this one, though i've included a non filtered version just for over here.

oh and sorry everyone it's a spooky realism piece and not maria getting naked or something like that lol, if i ever do a silent hill poll and she inevitably wins i'll make it up to you in that specific scenario! other than some playlist cover stuff id like to also finish up this month however, the rest of what's coming up should be the usual 👀 type stuff, bear with me as i shake off the holiday chill and get myself back on the proverbial grind >:)
