In yesterday's video, I focused on connecting TouchDesigner and Bitwig Studio using TD Bitwig. However, based on your comments, it's clear that many of you are more interested in creating visuals for music in Bitwig. So, today's video is all about that.
In Bitwig Studio:
- I started by creating generative music using a pulley grid.
- I used various modules like wave table oscillators, filters, and step modes.
- I added modulation and a variety of effects to give the sound texture.
In TouchDesigner:
- I set up a basic noise texture and tweaked its properties.
- I then added a second layer of noise with different properties.
- I used blending modes to combine these noise textures.
Connecting Bitwig and TouchDesigner:
- I used Bitwig's audio envelope to influence the visuals in TouchDesigner, making them reactive to the music.
Further Customizations:
- I used Bitwig's remote controls to modify visual elements in TouchDesigner.
- I added color mapping, circle scaling, and more, all tied back to Bitwig controls.
So, with some fairly straightforward steps, I've shown you how you can make your Bitwig music control your TouchDesigner visuals. It's a fun and creative way to add another dimension to your music projects.
