This is part of a short story I wrote using my solo RPG, Spooky Action at a Distance. This was generated using an earlier version of the game, so the results of the rolls might not line up to the version available now. However I still think this is a neat example of the kinds of stories that can be told with this game.

Session Two - Second Proxy

Proxy Details

Name: Jules Martin

General Session Notes: 

Proxy exhibited the same peculiar linguistic phenomenons and vacant stare of previous proxies. This proxy was much more open than the previous proxy, and didn’t challenge Doctor Burgess’ status as the envoy.

Partial audio transcript:

Envoy Burgess: “What is your form?”

Proxy: “I am here. Above you.”

Envoy Burgess: “You are this ribbon of energy above our planet?”

Proxy: “Yes.”

Envoy Burgess: “Do you perceive us, now, or is that why you… use proxies?” 

Proxy: “I develop in different methods, in order to communicate.”

Envoy Burgess: “Can you be harmed?”

Proxy: “Only when I wish to.”

Envoy Burgess: “Do you reproduce?

Proxy: “Only when I wish to.”

Envoy Burgess: “Do you require nourishment?”

Proxy: “I am being nourished right now.”

Envoy Burgess: “You are feeding off of us?”

Proxy: “I am nourished by inhabiting bodies. And now I am full.”

The session then ended, the connection between the alien and proxy was severed after this answer.

Question - What is the alien’s form? A field of light and energy several hundred miles across. Their form changes and can reproduce at will, and they appear to acquire new energy by inhabiting animals like human beings.
