Question: Should I remove condoms from the sex scenes (current and future)?
Technically, the winner is "Yes, remove the condoms from all sex scenes," with 47% of the vote. But this is only a plurality, not a majority. And the exact opposite position, "No, keep the condoms in and continue to add them," comes in a close second with 41%. Hardly what I would call a mandate. This was about as close as it could be, even to the point that the two top choices switched places a few times.
This is a difficult decision for me, now. My preference was also to remove the condoms and not worry about them moving forward. It would allow me to focus more on the substantive content moving forward and also keep the gameplay consistent from the beginning to the end. But I didn't want to do it if there was a significant number of people who really liked the option. With 41% showing that they did enjoy the inclusion of condoms, I can see that this is split.
So do I go strictly with the winning option, or consider that just under half of the respondents like them and with second place, or do I take the compromise position of keeping the old ones (appeasing the second place) but not continuing (considering first place), even though the compromise position received the fewest votes? Very tricky.
In the end, I have decided to go with first place and my own preference. It's the only justifiable position, because it won the poll. In the end, democracy has spoken.
