Gen V season 2 or nah? 

The Boys is back for season 4 and so is my boy Miles. After Gen V injected a fresh new energy into the franchise, are we taking a step backward into more of what we were losing interest in from season 3? Or will The Boys rise to the occasion and give us something really exciting?!

i think the backlash to last episode regarding hughie was more so about the abuse being played for laughs, but imo this show has kind of always done that. i'm just glad that it's nowhere near as bad as the source material

"THIS is the moment jimmy becomes saul" became a running gag amongst all fans, it's not just me! multiple seasons ended with a big saul moment and then the next season they sorta forgot about it, and thats because you can't fully turn him into saul until you know the series is ending. not even really an opinion, it's just how ya gotta do it and we're excited that the series is finally ending so we can finally do some big shit!

i feel like if they had just ended the episode taking it seriously and having hughie be affected by it they could’ve had their cake and eaten it and people probably wouldn’t have found it as off-putting

They are pretty cynical but i think in the case of BCS, they could have used less seasons or more about Jimmy while he was Saul.

Eric Kripke is just bad at magic or super powered SA stuff. On his previous show Supernatural, he portrays multiple characters who use magic to rape as cool and sympathetic. He only did Annies scene well cos he said female staff members made him. Hughie wasnt raped tho, people are exaggerating that.

the show wasn’t entirely about saul, there were other characters that had their own plotlines and arcs that added, for the lack of a better term, world building to eventually what happens the plot of breaking bad. the point of better call saul, to me, is the question of what happened during that point in the story, that everything ended up the way that it did. i don’t think it was necessarily just waiting for jimmy to become saul, it’s getting more context and depth in characters that we didn’t get in breaking bad. it’s a shame that you stopped though, bc some of the best episodes are in the final season. not bc “jimmy finally became saul” but bc there was some serious twists especially with the introduction of the character of lalo that made it worth watching.
