I have stolen this image from Lolypower, who posted it on the Community section. A bit of fun on your Monday! I hope she doesn't mind my thievery! Thank you Loly! I'll take time to find myself at some point π
If you're new and haven't visited the Community tab, don't miss all the craic and love and funnies. (Just be sure to make your posts PATRON ONLY so your post stays private from the prying eyes of the internets!)
So! Hallo!
I woke up today with you all on my mind.
I remember thinking in March that I wanted to focus on soothing and uplifting as the pandemic descended. It's hard to imagine it feels like both a long and short time ago.
And here we are in August.
I know these months have been frustrating, heartbreaking and taxing on the mind. It can be easy to sink when things seem difficult for a long period of time. But let me remind you to wear your floaties and keep swimmin'. π
You've made it this far.
And from the bottom of my little leprechaun heart, I know you're going to come out of this trying time with wisdom you'll use the rest of your life.
I hope you are taking care of yourselves first so that you can look after others. Don't ever forget that you're the most important person in your life. It doesn't work without ya.
And in caring for those around you, give 1% more kindness and patience whenever you can. In mad times, people do mad things and sometimes reacting with compassion when you could have snapped will be the very thing that changes a whole situation.
And in all this frustration, I hope you're still looking every day for beauty and silliness and goodness. It's out there.
Be sure to pay attention to all the good happening. The bonding and closeness, the sense of care for those around us. The humour that comes from a shared experience, the sense of understanding.
Take your times to cry and punch pillows but remember to be amused. To laugh. To smile. No matter how mad the world gets... you are allowed to find joy and express it. Sometimes those light moments will carry you through.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk? π
I just want all of ye to know... you're always on my heart.
I want you to know how proud I am of you and that I'm always always always cheering you on. I wish I could clone myself to reply properly to all your beautiful messages, and all the heartfelt stories you share.
You all matter so deeply to me, more than I could ever really tell you.
Thank you for being here. I'm grateful for you.
I loves y'all to bits.
Go kick Monday in the bum.
