Welcome back to more of The Wire. Season 2 is already introducing new ponds and showing us how far the web of corruption and crime sprouts throughout the city and further. With that, all new characters, relations, themes, and many more to help dive deeper into the immersive world of this story. I'm pretty excited, hope you are too!

Oh my god I was so confused, I thought you had skipped 2 episodes, but then I saw you had already posted the previous 2 and I had somehow just missed it, even though I come here every day to check for uploads. So now I have 4 episodes to watch, which is great!

Welcome to the greatest stretch in television history. I don’t think there will ever be a run like the back half of season 2 through season 4 again

The guy who plays Frank Sobotka was originally trying out for the role of McNulty. That would've been interesting.

TES

How good is Frank Sobotka as an actor and a character? Shows how well this show's writers can make well-rounded characters from all backgrounds, all walks of life. I love Season one, but for me this season is such a step up mainly because of his, Nico, and Ziggy's addition.

The scenes with Omar in court are my favourite in the entire series.

Bro you were in such denial of Dee being killed lmao you usually don't survive being choked to death. 😂 But I just found your reaction hilarious for some reason. Lol bro It's not sweet out here! Its Ratchet-ness

The “they used to make steel there” quote puts in context the entire season. It is about the rise and fall of industries in Baltimore (and any city really). How what used to provide solid jobs and a path to the middle class (ie steel mills) have disappeared with only a shell of their former selves still operating. Nicky sees the parallels to the dock workers but Frank is still fighting that inevitability. Paying for lobbyists, fighting for more ships, and, ultimately, resorting to stealing to try to save his union and way of life. I will give it to the man…he is going down swinging for sure

Ziggy makes me cringe into the next century. He has such an annoying sniveling voice too LMAO. How can someone go through life and be as naïve as his character? It's wild.

I don't think Dee is with his baby's mom right? I thought they weren't together, and hadn't been, and Dee had been seeing that stripper girl from season 1? Obviously Stringer is still being a bad person and just doing whatever he wants whenever he wants....but it's a little less terrible because they aren't together.
