Fabulous reaction! I absolutely love this episode. One of my favourite MOTW episodes in the series, actually. It's so jam packed with action, tension, and emotion. The first time watching this, I was the same as you - sure Sam wasn't going to stay dead SOMEHOW, but still heartbroken for Dean. It also did worry me that Billie said she was gonna dump them into the Empty, which doesn't sound promising. And yeah, Dean knew that was her plan. When she was taking him down to hell in 11x10, he says that Sam told him about her plan, and she confirms it. So you're right, he knew he was gonna die and not come back, but of course he did it anyway. Also - Sam Winchester is a friggin' badass! Lol! Bleeding out, "mostly dead" (love The Princess Bride reference from Dean again!) and he still manages to take out THREE werewolves. Go Sammy Go!! 😍 I loved all of the interactions between Dean and Michelle. I thought their friendship (however brief and heartbreaking it was) was really sweet. The actress who plays Michelle, Erin Way, did a fabulous job. I really liked and respected her character. Dean's right, she is strong. 😞 The show managed, once again, to do a wonderful job casting their guest actors. And once again we see a character bonding with Dean almost immediately. Everybody loves that boy. 😍🥹 Yes, Lisa Berry, who plays Billie is great. Billie is a very interesting and multi-faceted character and she plays her really well. Lastly, imo, Dean didn't tell Sam that as soon as he thought he was dead, he immediately tried to die to save him, because he didn't want Sam to lecture him on risking his life, and he just didn't want to admit out loud how desperate he was to save him. I think Sam suspects there's more to it than what Dean is saying though, but he just let it pass. Anyway - amazing episode!! Since you've obviously already seen the next episode, I'll just say - yep, you were right - back to the plot. ❤️ Can't wait to see your reaction.
