The Back Log, vol. 57 - We'll Look Out For You (Patreon)
Content
As long as you remember obscure Australian television ads.
Is it legally too early to call it spooky season? Because this year we're starting a bit early, thanks to Pseudonym's truly terrifying interpretation of an Australian... classic? And all because Nintendo finally released a new spooky game.
LAST WEEK ON BACK POCKET
Back Pocket Tonight ft. Lena Moon
It was extremely cool to have Lena Moon, comedian first and gamer second (as she herself describes), to up the standard of comedy in this studio a little. And we kicked off by subjecting her to the horrors of the Minecraft movie trailer, so we may never see her back again. But who knows, because she got to speak all about her addiction to Anno 1800 in What We've Been Playing, alongside quite the fascinating spread of games, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Dale & Dawson Stationery Supplies and Emio - The Tucker--, I mean, Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club. Man, those are some extremely long game names. And then the rest of the show was filled with pure unadulterated chaos, thanks to the return of We Asked 100* Gamers with a little dessert of Use Your Words.

PocketBuds: The Book
Wouldn't that be cool? A book all about PocketBuds? Maybe one day it'll happen, but in the meantime, how about an episode all about books - well, it is a video game podcast, so more specifically, books about video games. So we probably should have got a guest who has written one of those, right? We sure did - James 'Jickle' O'Connor has one coming out very soon all about Untitled Goose Game!

THIS WEEK ON BACK POCKET
Ok, this may be the most Gus idea for a stream ever (well, after the fishing one, that is). Later tonight he will be streaming Star Trucker for our weekly Game Night, so come along for the interstellar graveyard shift!
Then on Thursday, friend /canceller of the show Raj is back for another guest appearance, so hopefully we can get through this one unscathed...
And on Friday, our very own Josh Swift is back for a chat with Ruby all about his love of sci-fi and Star Citizen.
But wait, is that a well-armed rodent I see over yonder? I'll have to play back the tape on that one...

You know what, I think this is the shortest Back Log in a while! Ain't that nice. Not that there's a shortage of BP content for you to sink your teeth into, that is. Or video games either, for that matter. I'm slowly making my way through Astro Bot at the moment, and my god it is delightful and heartwarming, and exactly what I need right now. In fact, it's time to head off and collect more of those Bots - I must get them all...
