So I'm at like 2:41 only, but had to exit just to say that (hopefully) most Carats understand the struggle to learn 13 names and personalities. I watched a few guides, but it was only through their variety content that I really got to know who was who. I watched Project Seventeen back in 2016, and then shortly thereafter the One Fine Day series, and that's what finally cemented them in my memory :D So I can't vouch for YouTube (but honestly who would even try) but at least with most of the Carats here I think we'd be okay with you going at your own pace. Plus as you said, you're reacting to so many groups, and so many new groups, it's amazing you have learned any names for anyone! Anyway thanks for letting me rant, I'm going to go watch the reaction now

Dudeee!! You don't even realize how excited I got when I realized you were watching Don't Lie based on the thumbnail!! I'm so excited to watch this. It's so fun. Dude don't even worry about names. It is difficult especially since you're learning them as well as a few hundred other people. You'll slowly get it over time. Seungkwan is a really soft guy but is also known for being one of the funnier members. Mingyu is the tallest at 6'2 I believe, but Wonwoo is 6'0. People call S.Coups both Coups and Scoops or just his real name Seungcheol, so feel free to shorten it however you please. Not you profiling Vernon throughout the whole episode though lol! I hope you can check out part 2 when you have time!! I'm cool with more Going Seventeen. Would be cool if you could check out Going Seventeen 2020 The Tag (Ep 27-28) where they go through a haunted house/escape room. It is really funny. If you ever have time for a two part going seventeen episode.

Going Seventeen is easily the best variety content out there. I wish I could rewatch it all for the first time again, it's just so damn good. It really helped me with names as well! I was struggling with Jeonghan and Joshua and I could not imagine getting them mixed up nowadays (after having watched all of GoSe)! I would love it if you reacted to more GoSe instead of Weekly Idol, every single episode is just perfectly done. The staff is amazing as well, the editing has me laughing maybe more than the members themselves lol!

I'd say GoSe is the best way to learn Seventeen for multiple reasons: they really shine when you leave them without MCs, quieter members feel more comfortable and open up, the editing and inside jokes between the staff and the members let you see how close everyone who works on this show is. If you're still considering it, would love for you to check out their Mafia Dance too since it showcases the members' personalities really well. Also, fun fact: Going Seventeen has become so popular even with non-carats that it will be broadcast on Korean national television.

i really don't think u need to be so stressed about learning their names, it'll come naturally with the variety content over time, took me ages too. i know its easier said than done but hope u dont care much about anyone who's being annoying about this. Can't wait for the next ep! Seunkwang is like one of the funniest idols i've seen, he's absolutely hilarious, he's not all that soft but when with members they pick on him alot for humor's sake so it might seem like it. this group is one of the funniest in kpop in my opinion, they're right up there with BTOB and SUJU. I really wanted to see your reaction to the mafia game they did on dingo too, that was hilarious too!

Going SVT is really fun, i get what u were saying about it being raw and fun, u should really check out the episodes of when the went on that camping trip, it was hilarious, and that thing they did when they swapped names, this one might confuse u at this point tho but i totally suggest it once u know the members and their characteristics better cuz its crazy funny then, they're just impersonating each other in that episode and its just bliss! i would still like to see your reaction to their knowing bros though, i think its a good way to learn them too since they put spotlight on them individually during the intro, and the8 was so funny on their first appearance on the show, definitely prefer that episode over the later one!

You're totally right, variety IS the best way to learn names. You get a better grasp of everyone's personalities and you have a chance to look at their faces for longer than artistic 10 second cuts at a time. For the record I think sticking with GoSe is fine if you want to, people might've suggested Dingo and the other stuff first because you're already familiar with the formats and because GoSe looks maybe a bit intimidating since there's so much of it. But everyone loves GoSe, so <3 Btw if you watch more of it after Don't Lie, a trusted fandom translator does weekly twitter threads where they explain puns/memes etc that the official subs didn't quite cover. wow,, you pick up stuff fast,, I usually see reactors getting confuse with GoSe since they are SSOOOOOOO noisy and talkative.. but you did great.. but please don't stress out on knowing their names and faces we don't mind we just like to see you enjoying their contents.. I just love when you notice how family like SVT is because they rly are,, they sincerly love and adore each other even though they also like to tease esp the younger ones hahahaha!! When you watch SVT on variety shows you might want to throw away their MV/perf image it's like SVT is the king of duality hahaha,, not only are they crackheads abut you will find out how pure and childlike they are off stage.

Going Seventeen 2020 is literally the best thing to ever come out during COVID. Don't worry about names, I was very new to them as well and started GoSe 2020 ep 1 and naturally remember their names & personality as episodes went by. They don't hold back at all in GoSe and that's what makes it entertaining! ❤

yes it is! the horror special i mentioned is GoSe episode 27 (extending into ep 28). Another fan-favourite is their Mousebusters (yes, its as fun as the title) episode which is episode 31!
