This wonderful idea was submitted by a patron!

I always have to work, but for once I find time for us to have our first romantic getaway--just for a weekend. I'm up for a promotion at work, and I have to be back on Monday. Unfortunately, a hurricane hits where we are staying. We lose power and get stranded in the house we're renting. As the weekend wears on, I realize what really matters.

That would be the worst company if they ask you to travel during a hurricane or getting trapped by a hurricane is a reason to not give you a promotion. I'm sure that type of company exists but I hope it really doesn't!! She was sooooooooo stressed!!! I'm glad she figures out what she had been doing to herself!! You did such a great job on this one!!! I loved it!!

That would definitely be a horrible company, and I have heard very similar horror stories from people I know about their jobs/jobs they were fired from. Those companies exist!! I wanted her to be put in that position, so she would see what she had been giving up this whole time and for who. Yes, it was very important to learn! And it's relatable.
