That was a good start. Viewing it again with you I'm able to observe a lot more of the character interactions. I read somewhat slowly and frequently am trying to keep up with the subtitles which really limits the seeing some of the subtleties that good acting conveys. And I totally missed that there was twins in Xiang Hao Ting's gang of friends LOL! One element you commented on about Yu Xi Gu looking older I think was a statement on how working so hard with both school and side job really impacted getting good rest. So, he would steal away to the school's medical department for a nap during the day. He was fortunate that the school doctor understood. This show is actually set in Taipei, Taiwan, in fact I think all of the HIStory BLs are set in Taiwan. They are good at using the city scape as a back drop for many scenes. I'd love to visit someday. One awesome element of Taiwan is that they legalized same sex marriage in 2019. I think the money references are referring to New Taiwan Dollars/NTD vs USD. I think you'll find this story as time well spent, thanks for taking this show on as one of your series. 🤩

This is set in Taiwan not China. Taiwan's capital is Taipei, which is the skyline you're seeing.

Eventually you should react to We Best Love No. 1 For You. It's my favorite Taiwanese series so far. But later when you've watched the ones on your list now, lol.
